Sorry for the late notice on this one everybody - no shore based diving allowed in Brockville this weekend due to the Hydroplane boat races! As you can see they’ve already started arriving at Centeen park!

Just a reminder that the Thursday walk on has officially begun. 30$ for one tank dive, decided amongst the group. Departs the Ivy Lea dock at 7pm. Its not uncommon the group takes in a drink and a bite at the pub afterwards.

Please note these dates that shore diving is prohibited in Brockville. Give us a call, we'd be more than happy to take you for a boat dive.

As many of you are already aware Wayne has scaled back operations this year running only two boats. As the old adage says we aren’t getting any younger and Wayne has decided it’s time to start taking more time for himself. What is he doing with that time, learning to fly helicopters. This has been a dream of Wayne’s and now he is going for it. Now out at the shop are a couple of boats and now this, Wayne’s new helicopter.

On June 14 the Leeds OPP are hosting a joint training day with local fire rescue, and Coast Guard, in Rockport. They are looking for volunteers to play victims. This is a marine rescue so you would be in the water, and you are required to bring a PFD. If anyone is interested in playing a victim, and helping out our local emergency response personnel with training, please contact Constable Aftim Nassar of the Leeds OPP at: [email protected]... Some of our crew participated last year and really enjoyed the event.

The beginning is coming soon. Despite the cruddy weather the past few days our first charter is going May 5-6. We still have some spots on this charter, so if you are itching to get in the water get in touch with us for details. Water will be chilly but vis will be great.

We are about a month away from boats going in the water, we have our first charter the first week of May, and we are looking forward to the season start up. As always we look forward to seeing all our diving friends back on the boats, enjoying the St Lawrence river. There are some changes this year, primarily that we will be down to 2 boats. The AMG and The Osprey will be the only boats in the water this year, with the Island Diver running as back up if needed. With just th...e two boats running, this gives Wayne more time to be out on the water as your captain, and less time required in the office, which is his goal. Wayne looks forward to being your captain, and being able to spend more time on the water. Larry will also be captaining this season again, and as always we have a few back up captains and crew if required. We will continue to operate out of Ivy Lea, with the Capricorn Hotel right across the street to give our divers a great place to stay and convenience to the dock. Finally, we will be returning to having a walk on night during the week. Thursday evenings will be the "Explore Night". Dives will be single tank, and involve dives that are appropriate for all level of divers looking for a nice evening dive. Cost will be 30$ to the captain, and the boat will leave Ivy Lea dock at 7pm. Dive site determined by the group. We look forward to seeing you all out on the water, and as always keep a watch on our page for updates, openings on boats for divers, and of course pictures and video of our divers enjoying themselves.
