Interested in becoming a Cadet with 107 Spitfire? -The online registration tool is now available as a part of the new Join-Cadets page on Canada.ca www.canada.ca/join-cadets. -The tool is an engagement form where parents/guardians/prospective cadets can enter their name, postal code and corps/squadron of preference. The tool will then send an email to the corps/squadrons’ generic mailbox with the entered information. Corps and squadrons will then be required to contact the ...member to follow up and arrange for the completion of the required enrolment forms. -This Online Registration Tool is meant to support the current registration process, it does not replace the required documentation or FORTRESS data entry requirements. It is called an Online Registration Tool as it will continue to evolve to streamline the current registration process.

June 21 is both National #IndigenousPeoplesDay and Father’s Day. Today we want to introduce you to CWO Justin Powder of 2837 Princess Patricia's Canadian Light... Infantry Army Cadet Corps, located in Yellowknife. Justin and his father MWO (ret'd) Floyd Powder share their special relationship acknowledging their Métis culture and father son bond as we celebrate both Indigenous Peoples Day, and Father's Day. For generations, many #Indigenous peoples and communities have celebrated their culture and heritage on or near this day due to the significance of the summer solstice as the longest day of the year.

Hi everyone, I hope you're all keeping safe and busy. As many of you have already seen in OCdt Gustafson's previous post, all cadet activities, including regular parades, additional training days, and summer training have been cancelled until 31 August 2020. This means that all in-person cadet activities that we had planned as a squadron for the rest of this training year are not going to happen, and unfortunately those cadets who have already been selected for regular summ...er training and national courses will not be be going this summer. This is very unhappy news, however, with the current state of things in the world, our Commander has made this difficult decision to ensure the safety of everyone. As of now, all cadets currently enrolled in our program have passed their levels, and will start in the next level when we (hopefully) resume in the fall. We as a staff will continue to provide you with fun, engaging and socially distant activities as we are able. The information provided in OCdt Gustafson's previous post contains all of the information we have regarding the situation at this time. Please be patient with us. We will pass along any additional information as we receive it. In much happier news, you might have noticed that our once CI Gustafson is now OCdt Gustafson! We will plan a ceremonial presentation when we return, but for now, Congratulations to our newest OCdt! Stay safe! Capt Bjorkman

Biathlon Cadets from 107 Spitfire will be traveling to Regina tomorrow, crossing their fingers that they will be able to ski and shoot, if it’s too cold they will be doing a run and shoot. #ThrowbackThursday to the early 2000’s and some of the awards 107 has received from their biathlon skills! Good luck to you all!

#ThrowbackThursday time! On May 12th, 1981 107 Spitfire took part in a Drumhead service. Also in attendance were the Bonnie Bluebells. The Drumhead Service is a tradition that dates back to the 1700’s. On the battlefields, there was often no way for soldiers to attend church, to worship and pray. Instead, the Padre or Chaplain would hold a Drumhead Service creating a temporary altar on the field, using military drums draped with the regimental or National flags. Drumhead Services are still held as a salute to those who fought on battlefields around the world and made the ultimate sacrifice.

Not a 107 #ThrowbackThursday but definitely an awesome one. Where will cadets take you?
