COVID-19 ACTION PLAN UPDATE JULY 3RD 2020 Ontario is currently in the midst of the second phase of the reopening plan. The limitations set out in the second phase make teaching a music lesson in person extremely difficult as you must keep the 6-foot distance, must have shields installed in all areas and cannot make have any contact with the student, including program materials. The structure of music school locations with respect to waiting rooms and teaching classrooms mak...e social distancing while being able to perform a proper lesson very punitive on the student. This is the sole reason that most curriculum-based music educational facilities, sports, dance, and other related program activities remain closed. We are currently waiting for the release of the third phase which will allow our school to reopen while being able to deliver the program you expect, in a fashion that works for our students. As soon as this information is released, we will publicly post our reopening plan and make a personal contact with all students. Our plan for reopening will apply to all locations located in Ontario. Thank you for your continued support and patience. You can also visit us at ocom.ca

Everyone has Covid-19 on their minds, but is that really the case for children. Children only know the severity of a crises based on the actions, and reactions, of those around them. Here's a Covid-19 coping plan that can create fun for the entire family...turn off the TV, put away your phones, turn off the computers and have a family music concert! Whether your child has studied for 2 months, 2 years, or 20 years, why don't you get the family together, pull out as many inst...ruments as you can find, arrange your family room seating around the piano and have a little concert. Take out your books and have your child play some songs and create some real enjoyment! Mon, dad, played a little once upon a time, join your children if you can, need a drum, pull out anything you can tap on and play along. HAVE FUN!
