Marci Ien mentioned in her interview with Michael and Diane Clemons that she would like to see Canadian Black figures acknowledged during Black History Month in... the same spotlight as American Black figures. This is why we’re very excited that this youth has chosen a person who we know will go down in Candian history as a trailblazer for youth in our community. The 5th blog submission is from Taijah, who's inspiration is Orlando Bowen. He’s a former professional athlete and keynote speaker focused on equipping people to get off the sidelines and become difference-makers on their teams and in the lives of those around them. He is also passionate about youth leadership. As a result of that passion, he founded One Voice One Team to inspire and to teach resilience, leadership and teamwork to youth. Taijah chose him because the love he has for helping people. He takes that passion for helping people and takes it to the next level every time and that makesme want to do the same as well.
