Hi everyone, I hope you are all doing well. The officers and I have been working hard to make a fun and interesting training plan with COVID procedures in place. We continue to be hopeful for Oct 7 start. Regular time. I will be hosting a virtual meeting for everyone on Sept 30 (7pm) to breif everyone on our plan and new protocols. In the mean time, work on your uniforms, stay connected, and stay safe. If you are interested, there will be a virtual ceremony for the Battle of... Britian. This will be on Sept 20 at 07:30 hours. The Battle of Britain (10 Jul to 31 Oct 1940) was the first battle of the Second World War fought mainly in the air. Every year a memorial parade is held in cities and towns across Canada on thethird Sunday in September to remember those who fought and sacrificed their lives in this battle. This year marks the 80th anniversary, however due to the COVID-19 outbreak the RCAF will be hosting a virtual national ceremony. Cadets/staff are encouraged to login and view the ceremony. Authority is not granted to wear uniforms for this event. All the media products are available on the Battle of Britain 2020 Digital Downloads page (http://rcaf-arc.forces.gc.ca//battl/digital-downloads.page) The poster is available on the Digital Downloads page and a separate page (http://www.rcaf-arc.forces.gc.ca//ceremony-program-booklet)that will also contain the schedule.
