October was a very busy month for 36 Morris. Among such events as a wedding, a union meeting and a celebration of life luncheon, we were also pleased to host a bridal shower, a family meeting, and a scrapbooking weekend along with two birthday parties .... 18 & 70!! Many thanks to all the Guests Of Honor and the friends and family who joined you!

Nothing puts a smile on my face like seeing the remnants of an awesome 18 year old’s awesome birthday celebration!

Coming up soon, 36 Morris will hosting its very first WEDDING!! We are just as excited as the bride and groom!! Attendance is limited to 50, including Caterers, thanks to current Covid laws, but none-the-less, it will be an incredible day!!! A great space for a great occasion! Keep us in mind for your mid-sized parties and gatherings. Will be able to comfortably seat 120 once the Covid Crisis is over.

In case you’ve been wondering where, and perhaps missing, posts from 36 Morris, here’s an update on the latest interior upgrade .... 1500 sq ft of durable, danceable flooring.

And with the concrete steps removed, the rot behind it was able to be repaired, blueskin installed and a good start on the siding. But in true fashion, progress once again crawls to a halt. Not only do we not have enough corner pieces to reach the soffit, but it’s getting pretty hard to work 12’ lengths of siding off ladders. Solution: build the new step to have a level surface to roll scaffolding along (plus allows delivery time for corners) ..... but, with everyone sitting... at home with time on their hands and Covid money in their pockets, there’s no cedar tone 2 x 6 to be found anywhere. Lol. For those who have dates booked, do not fret: the side door is ground level (and wheel chair accessible) if our construction goals have not been reached by the time of your event. For the rest of you who use the sidewalk in front of 36 Morris, please continue to do so but be aware of the sharp drop off. The area is taped off for your safety, but it won’t stop your fall. Thanks to everyone who commented on the new look, and thank you all for being patient while we work on this little project of ours.

Ok peeps, I need your help finding hand towel, toilet paper and foam soap for my dispensers. First person to post a successful source gets a free two-hour arena rental!

Well if I’m gonna open the doors June 13th, I best post sone more pics of the demo process so you can all appreciate the new decor. Lol. Skipping the pics of the damage done by the roofless rain, but looking back, it was a blessing in disguise. Instead of just covering things up, this insurance claim helped me by having to rip the walls apart, and found and fixed several rotted spots.

Well, screw it!! 25 Indoors is close enough .... gonna open the doors to 36 MORRIS from 12:00-6:00 PM June 13th for anyone who’d like to swing on by and have a look .... and maybe schedule a booking or two??? Lol Hope to see you there. ... (Share this post and get entered for a free 4-hr event!)
