Finding what works for each of us with regards to self care is important. I just got back from a short walk in between clients. The fresh air and sunshine lifted my spirits. What's something that you can do for yourself today? https://www.participaction.com//the-best-way-to-stay-stron

I have moved to virtual sessions with some of my clients. My mantra is that something is better than nothing! It's not the same as face to face but it's doing the trick! I'm actually wondering why I hadn't started this sooner, for a back up on snow days, etc. It is a great alternative! (Side note: this is my "excited fun" face, I am not getting a dental exam. Ha!)

80/20 Lifestyle Studio closed its doors last Monday, March 16 due to COVID-19. Communications directly with clients have been ongoing, and we are hoping to all be back to normal soon! In the meantime, I am personally trying to maintain some regularity with my schedule to keep my mental and physical health in tip top shape, and to keep my immune system as strong as possible. Here are some of the things I aim to do on a weekly and daily basis, some of which you may find helpf...ul: A fruit or vegetable with every main meal. Vitamin C daily, and Vitamin D on the days that I don't get outside for some natural Vitamin D. 2 litres of water or more every day for hydration. Daily gratitude journal. Focus on the positive! There is always something to be grateful for. An activity from my "fun bag": Sudoku, word find puzzle, etc. Weather permitting, get out for a walk around the neighbourhood. The fresh air, sunshine and movement feel great! On days that I don't get out for a walk, I get down to the studio for some cardio or weights. If you do not have access to a home gym, body weight workouts are also great! Those are just some of the things that I have been doing to keep some balance in my life during these trying times. What are you doing for your physical and mental health these days? Please share!
