The slow-build process for a cheek shaping treatment, performed by nurse injector Lisa. Volume loss in the mid face is inevitable for us all as we go through the process of aging, and most can benefit from some restoration of that volume. For @ekateriina9, the dropping volume came with some hollowing under her eyes, which Lisa tackled by starting with some correction in the upper cheek. There are various ways of improving a recessed chin, whether surgical or non surgical. Dr. Buonassisi has performed countless chin implants for patients, but he will also often recommend going the non surgical route for chin augmentation. When can I get back to my normal makeup routine after rhinoplasty? It's natural to want to apply makeup and skincare in the post-op period to hide any bruising and just to help you feel better in general. We understand! Dr. Buonassisi would say that ideally, you will wait until after a week, but the main key is really to just avoid getting the cast wet or damp, and risk it falling off before your cast removal appointment at 1 week post-op. So while you are safe to wea...r makeup and skincare products as soon as the day after surgery (applied at least 1 cm away from the margin of your cast and well away from your incision), you must be careful when removing them at the end of the day. We recommend gently wiping away with makeup remover pads, or carefully cleansing with a damp cloth without splashing any water on your face. You can get back to your normal makeup and skincare routine once your cast has been removed. When considering rhinoplasty, it helps immensely to learn about tips like these ahead of time to ensure that you are fully prepared for everything that comes with the surgery. The tip of my nose looks a little too high after rhinoplasty, is this normal? Experienced rhinoplasty surgeons performing a tip rotation will often over-rotate the nose tip on purpose with an intent for it to slightly fall to its ideal position in the post-op healing period. Swelling makes the tip appear higher than it will be at its fully healed result. Who caught us on CTV last week? Our star was our wonderful patient Melissa, who came to us after our reopening with concerns related to the impact that COVID-19 has had on her. 43-year-old Melissa is a mom to two young daughters, and was under the great deal of pandemic stress many other parents were experiencing, especially with the double whammy of moving to home schooling and working from home. She took to running, as it was an easy way to get out of the house safely ...for some quick exercise, resulting in a weight loss. Melissa and her husband have been diligent about wearing their masks, and she started becoming aware of the signs of aging around her eyes with all the focus now on them. After a consultation with RN injector Jenn, they decided to begin her treatment plan with a rejuvenation of her hollowing temples, which were adding darker shadows to her upper face as a result of her increased running and weight loss. How long do I have to wait before doing a heavy workout after rhinoplasty?
