It’s not too late to register, head on over to Facebook to find this online event and get registered. They have a variety of very applicable webinars, today we listened to Ranch Management: Rejuvenating Forage Stands. Does it come as any surprise that they recommend soil sampling to know what’s going on with soil nutrient levels? And yes, it pays to fertilize your forage stand, when the cost of buying feed (and other costs such as the risk of introducing weeds/noxious weeds o...nto your soil was evaluated, among other factors) their research shows that it makes sense to fertilize your existing perennial forage stands. Did you know we have soil sampled forage stands? Some have been relatively young stands (1-2 yrs established) and others a few years older. Soil sampling and reviewing soil nutrient levels can also be an excellent tool to help decide how much longer you want to leave your perennial forage stand in production. #ranchmanagement #perennialforagesforthewin #foragesexcellentinrotation #soilsampling #soilrejuvenation #soilhealth #cowsareawesome #independentag #mompreneur #justranchin See more

As 2020 comes to an end there are so many things to reflect on, but what is top of mind is the incredible support we have received from our local farming community. I had hoped to have our customer appreciation gifts organized and delivered by Christmas, but hey, it’s 2020 after all and of course that didn’t pan out. So, they are still in the works, and when they are ready, we will get them to you! We know this year has been one curve ball after another for many of you,... and we have had our challenges at A1, but we intend to continue to work our butts off, to show up and do this work with honesty and integrity, and have loads of fun along the way! We are ready for the New Year and whatever may come with it. Happy New Year, and so very sincerely, Thank You. Take good care out there and we look forward to seeing you in person in 2021!! #whohastimeforhashtags #isit2021yet #passedmybedtime #happynewyear #thankyou See more

This gal! Jody has been a great addition to the team, she joined back in March and has been working hard ever since! Jody will be taking a leave in January to welcome baby #2 in her growing family. We will miss her, we wish her all the best and look forward to her return! Thank you for showing up and getting the work done, Jody! Working at A1 Agronomy has been a really fun and challenging experience. I love working with growers to dial in exactly what their needs are. W...e are very flexible and try to meet the needs of exactly what the grower is looking for. It’s so nice to work for a small business that cares about their employees and customers and their family farm values. Can’t wait to see where this business takes me! This winter I will be going on mat leave, I have plans to return fall 2021 or winter 2022. Can’t wait to see A1 Agronomy grow and show everyone what we have to offer! #canadianag #independentbusiness #womeninag #agronomy #soilsampling #fieldscouting #swatmaps See more
We are so very excited to share the news that Katie Meggison has joined the crew at A1 Agronomy! She literally hit the ground running a couple weeks ago and has already been such a great addition to our team! Hi! I’m Katie Meggison, from Goodlands, MB. I come from a mixed - cattle and grain farm, where I’ve enjoyed farming full-time with my family this past 2020 season. In May 2019, I completed my B.Sc in Agriculture, with a focus on Agronomy and Soil Science, at the Un...iversity of Manitoba. I’ve gained a lot in my past work experience with agriculture research, commodity groups, and independent agronomy and now I am very excited to be part of the team at A1 Agronomy and to be back in my home community! #canadianagriculture #independentbusiness #womeninag #soilsampling #fieldscouting #agronomy #swatmaps See more
