Maya - The Chill Cat... Ambient Piano/Guzheng in 5.1 surround! Watch in HD: https://youtu.be/01F07lQSeKQ We first met Maya at our local SPCA, and it was love at first sight! We started visiting more often, and several visits later filed in the paperwork for her adoption. Shoutout to the awesome crew at Fort McMurray SPCA for their guidance and help in getting everything set-up! I had been working on this arrangement for several years but couldn't really finalize it... it nev...er sounded well-rounded and balanced. I sat down with this arrangement again and basically went with her reaction and composure to each sound layer I used. Eventually, I was able to bridge all 'gaps,' and Maya - The Chill Cat was finalized! I'm also excited to be featuring a solo on a 2,500-year-old Chinese plucked string instrument known as 'Guzheng' or simply, 'Zheng'.
Everybody... meet Maya... our adorable
...I need home for a rest... RIP John Mann
The Girl from Ipanema is a Brazilian bossa nova and jazz song. It won a Grammy for 'Record of the Year' in 1965. Numerous recordings have been used in films, sometimes as an elevator music cliché. It is believed to be the second most recorded pop song in history, after "Yesterday" by The Beatles. The song was inducted into the Latin Grammy Hall of Fame in 2001. In 2004, it was one of 50 recordings chosen that year by the Library of Congress to be added to the National Recording Registry. In 2009, the song was voted by the Brazilian edition of Rolling Stone as the 27th greatest Brazilian song. Download here: www.abijahgupta.com/the-girl-from-ipanema.html
