If you've never had the experience of being pulled by a dog while on skis. .. you should try it! Skijoring is soooo much fun for the dog and the handler....and a GREAT workout for both. Thanks Kev Roberts of Oxford Dogs for this video. .. and for providing my dogs with awesome gear!
Thanks Oxford Dogs!

Interested in doing something fun in the snow with your dog this winter? ABOUT TIME is hosting a Dog Sledding and Skijoring seminar in Sussex! Doug Stoakley, with NB Urban Mushing, will be on our trail to get you started on this adventure or to improve the mushing you are already doing. The goal is to have some teams to meet up and run together during the winter months :)... Sunday, Dec. 14 Cost $30 Any dog weighing at least 30lbs, with a desire to run can do this! Please send a personal message to sign up....this event obviously depends on weather, and SNOW :) See more
I've had quite a few messages asking "What is Rally Obedience?" Rally incorporates the traditional obedience skills into a 'course'. This course has been laid out by a judge and consists of 'signs' which ask for a specific skill to be performed at each station. Note NO choke collar, tight leash, or corrections for the dog :) Head is up, focusing on handler, her tail is always waging....THAT makes me happy seeing Braya having fun with her very first rally competition :)
Training a trick is one thing...the dogs being able to perform the tricks with distractions is the goal. That is called PROOFING. Note the distractions...busy environment (traffic, kids at playground), toys on the ground, movement of another dog. All 3 dogs are working at the same time :)
Who said dogs dont know words?
Training Tricks is a great way to pass the winter....exercise the mind as well as the body. Thank you Kelly Sutton and K9 Fit n`Fun for hosting the Trick Titling Events !
Canine Freestyle is a combination of Obedience and Tricks...set to music of course. So much fun !
