OK Poo/Doo owners. It’s time for real talk. I hear so many people all over the World talk about bringing their wonderfully shaggy beasts into the g...roomer, and when they pick them up saying and posting things like they butchered my beautiful dog, I like him better long, all your beautiful hair is gone! Here’s what’s up. We think your dog looks better with long hair as well. We didn’t want to have to shave all of his hair off in one matted blanket, but we cannot do anything else at that point. If you can’t comb THROUGH it, we can’t either. In order to yank all of the mats out with a knife comb, it takes hours and hours, leaves their skin tender and raw, and 90% of the time, it’s not even possible to make happen over an entire body.. *When it’s matted, it’s got to go.* It is not a fashion choice we have made for you. It is a lifestyle choice you have made for your dog. Groomers are not mad at you for not knowing this. (However Breeders, and people adopting out these breeds should definitely cover these grooming bases every single time, but do not, so groomers are in fact mad at those people.) ~Having a poodle or doodle, means nearly daily brushing if you want them to have long hair.~ *Almost *every *day *you *have *to *brush *through *their *coats. Read that again. We agree, it’s a ridiculous amount of work. But, if you want your fluffy wonderful dog, that is what has to be done. If you have gotten back to ground zero and had your beautiful poodle shaved because of matting, all is not lost. Start brushing them every day now. When they are short. You can keep up on it as it grows and it will be a lot easier. Your groomer can be the one to brush if you feel like you are too busy in life. *However that’s going to be every 2 to 3 weeks to come in for brushing.* If you wait the 6 to 8, and think that we can brush that out without any work at home, you are back to Shave Town. We love you. We love your poodles and doodles, And we love their long wonderful hair. So brush them. Or don’t...but you will be picking up a Nakey instead of a Shaggy. Sincerely, All of the Groomers on Earth.

For those that don't feel comfortable venturing out into the world right now to have their dog groomed this is an excellent diagram showing the levels of importance in brushing your dog. Even if you ONLY brush a little bit a day stick to the red areas. #homegrooming #petcare #abouttowndogs #doggrooming #petsalon #Vancouver #covid19 #pleasebrushyourdog #brushbrushbrush

Hi everyone! As I stated in my last post I would update with any changes. As of right now I have decided to remain open. The new safety protocols are as follows I will have a large crate outside with a sign on it stating that dogs must go into the crate with zero gear. If your dog has issues with crating please let me know in advance.Crate will be sanitized after dog is returned for the owner upon pickup. ... No walk ins for grooming. No Un-bathed services. No client is allowed in the salon. The door to the salon will remain locked. I would prefer that you pay either by card(tap)or etransfer but cash left in a ziplock bag will also be accepted if neither of those options work for you. One on one appointments. I will have a 15 min space between dogs so that you can drop off/pick up without coming into contact with anyone. THERE WILL BE A LATE FEE FOR PEOPLE LATE TO DROP OFF OR PICK UP. I.E. If your appointment is at 10 am please be on time. Please call or text to book appointments. I am going to be accepting a limited number of dogs per day and sometimes my Facebook messaging doesn't alert me to a new message. 604 358 7271. And of course please be safe and use common sense if you are experiencing symptoms your dog can wait to be groomed for the 14 day quarantine period. Dogs cannot get the virus but it is able to live on their fur for a period of time and could potentially pass it on that way. Stay safe everyone!
