This is Terry Howard with Above The Bar Accounting Services. We have currently closed our office location due to my wife and I having the stomach flu. We called 811 and spoke to a nurse. We answered all of her questions and it was determined that we do not have corona virus. It was still suggested that we self isolate for up to two weeks. I will be going into the office Wednesday to pick up my laptop, printer, and any other supplies we will need to prepare taxes from home. ...We will be taking phone in appointments and using telephone/email to prepare taxes. CRA has announced that you will be able to give an electronic signature to sign your tax return. No printer will be necessary on your part. Trudeau has extended the tax filing deadline to June 1, 2020. So there is no rush to file your taxes. It will probably take me a couple of days to get my office here setup. We will start to take phone appointments on Thursday. Please call us anytime after Thursday. Sorry for any inconvenience that this may have caused.
