Our very own CTO was invited by @uwentsoc to give a pitch and teach attendees about the product development cycle at their event, Six Hours of Startup Life! Thanks @uwentsoc for your continued support of our vision!

It’s estimated that just 27% of the employed tech talent in Waterloo Region is female. It is absolutely vital that there is a more diverse range of perspectives and experiences influencing how our world progresses through new advancements in tech. We hope that this event run by @communitech encouraged more women to pursue a role with some of the local companies that make up our Waterloo ecosystem and we truly enjoyed hearing from the panelists on their experiences making a n...ame for themselves in tech! While it can be hard to connect the dots at first glance, prioritizing diversity is not only progress for underrepresented groups but for the greater collective. Having a limited set of perspectives eventually narrows your focus but may not be the best option given the bigger picture. While these problems exist today, we really hope to do all we can to shorten this timeline towards equality and equal representation for all as we build tech to solve the problems of the past.
