At Action Orthotics & Prosthetics, as an essential service, we are open during this difficult time, although with slightly reduced hours. We are following government safety regulations and have altered how we book appointments to better protect our patients and staff. We are not booking overlapping appointments to ensure less expose of our patients to one another, we are limiting our patients to only bringing in one support person with them when needed, and we are cleaning all affected surfaces in between appointments to ensure everything stays clean. We are also seeing patients by pre-screened appointment only right now. So if you are in need of our service please contact our office directly. We wish everyone to stay safe and healthy in these challenging times.

On Friday, the day of the school's Terry Fox run,I gave a talk/presentation to my son's Grade 4 class on the field of prosthetics, how we make them, how they increase mobility, and the struggles faced by amputees like Terry. I built two bent knee prosthetic legs for the kids to try walking on. Hoping to give them a better appreciation for what an amputee feels learning to walk again. The ILimb myoelectric hand I brought in to showcase where technology has gone was also a clear hit! Thank you Ossur for the loan of the demo hand!
