Please help us in welcoming Mike Germain to Active Therapy +. Mike has been with us for a couple of months offering Level 3 Fascial Stretch Therapy. After nearly 6 years of Personal Training, Mike brings experience in movement assessment, functional movement development, and injury prevention. As a competitive powerlifter, he has not only studied, but applied the fundamentals of assessment, movement, and strength on himself.... Mike is also a Fascial Stretch Specialist. Having taken his Level 3 certification at the Stretch to Win Institute in Chandler, Arizona, his knowledge and experience with Fascial Stretch Therapy is of the highest class. He also learned the Sport Specific modalities of Fascial Stretch Therapy which helps athletes perform better going into a game, recover and down regulate faster after a game, and keep athletes moving safely within the requirements of their sport. Mike has a growth mindset and is always looking for new effective ways to treat clients. Mike is certified in M2T Scraping, DTS Low Back Fundamentals, STWI Life Stretch, and Precision Nutrition to name a few. Were not going anywhere!! BUT.... A new location is brewing to better manage chronic pain and concussions. This 11,000 sq foot facility will offer PRP injections, Botox for migraines and syndromes, cortisone, prolotherapy and more to decrease pain and promote healing. We will have a large space to manage all aspects of concussions including all the team baseline testing, exertion testing, vestibular rehab and much much more. This facility will decrease the need for our community to travel for care. Our team has specialized physicians and therapists under one roof. Learning to run clinics are an incredibly fun and successful way to become a runner. If youve ever wanted to run but thought I cant, Im too big, my knees, I dont know how...etc etc. YOU CAN!!! Im a huge advocate for these types of clinics because running in any style is a great way to control mental health, physical health and lifestyle. So if anyone wants to join with my friend Kris and have any concerns about their body being able to Ill give you a free session once youve registered to show you how to do it safely without injury!!! Lets go Sudbury, lets get moving!!

I would like to take a, moment to celebrate and congratulate Kim Brouzes on her 20th ( YES I said 20th) anniversary as an Athletic Therapist and owner of @activetherapyplus Kim has been known as many things over the years including "Queen if Pain" and "The woman thats makes grown men cry", but no one can doubt that she is an amazing person with a heart of gold not only for her family and friends but also her community. Kim has been part of our sports community for 20 years a...lso. She is the Athletic Therapist for the Sudbury Wolves and the Sudbury 5 (we feel so short next to them). Lol This lovely woman helps out where ever she can whether its the smallest endeavor of a donation of a gift certificate to a fundraiser or to something a little bigger like co-spearheading an initiative to help the front line workers during a pandemic. When a patient walks into her clinic - whether they are a high level athlete or not - Kim treats everyone with the same dignity and respect and treats their injuries equally. I have known Kim as one of her patients for over 10 years and now I consider her one of the greatest friends I have. Please help me in Congratulating Kim on 20 years in business and if you have any stories about her you would like to share please do so..
