Kirstin Castro-Wunsch P.Eng CEO a 25 year expert in Integrated Waste Management says 'It's tough to reduce waste. I have put my money where my mouth is, I also run CleanitGreenit composting and composting is without a doubt needed to green our environment. But look where I find myself today. Please support the green side of composting. Although we are doing things right, it is tough! http://www.edmontonjournal.com/story.html?id=11297257

Kirstin Castro-Wunsch P. Eng CEO, a 25 year expert in Integrated Waste Management says 'I never thought bans were necessary. But have a look at this chart, the data is overwhelming. We need guidance, i.e.bans, to help us reduce waste from landfill. I changed my mind over the last 25 year-we clearly need bans! This can be done gently.' Kirstin Castro-Wunsch P.Eng CEO, a 25 year expert in Integrated Waste Management says 'I was looking at 'The state of Composting in the US' and I found a fact which surprised me. It said, most food waste is landfilled and burned and NOT composted. Only 7.8% of all municipal solid waste gets diverted to composting. Lots of work is still needed to get this valuable material into plant growth. If you want to know more check out our website www.advancedenviro.ca

Kirstin Castro-Wunsch P.Eng. CEO, a 25 year expert in Integrated Waste Management says 'I just went hiking with friends from Austria and Canada in the mountains of Alberta and BC - and WOW it was just beautiful and it felt great to be in nature! But sadly, after every hike I brought back a bag of empties- not mine! It reinforces once again the need for bans! If you want to know how to do it check out our website www.advancedenviro.ca The elk is one of the beautiful things we saw on our hikes :)
