I am often asked about why i chose to change my financially rewarding career and do what i do. My answer is : I want to empower women, i want to help couples have babies and take care of the mothers right after birth. I want to shed light on mothers with a big focus on po...stpartum care. The fact is there are so many classes out there for prenatal care: so much emphasis is there to prepare couples for birth. Once the birth happens then the whole attention shifts. No one prepares .the.new.mothers.for the sleepless nights, the pain, the bleeding ect. Giving birth can drain your body physically and emotionally: caring for a bay while you are recovering yourself is draining especially if you have NO support. We want to be that support. That is why we created the postpartum care program in collaboration with our doula and pelvic floor physiotherapist. It is not about getting pampered, it is about regaining your health, strenghtening your pelvic floor, getting support so you can sleep. It is about eating the right food so your body can heal and gain strength. A weak pelvic floor can cause problems for women for years after giving birth.
