Barracutie Boutique is Keeping it Real I am so glad the Holidays are almost over. Sales were unexpected and that was fantastic. Mostly because I was not working at it. I have learned keyword searches are my friend! Its upped my game in terms of listing! I used to laugh when I read an eBay description ... long sleeve-top-shirt-sexy, camisole-crop top-sweater, cardigan-cool-blouse lol Now my heading words are geared for searches & not for looking grammatically attractive! Needless to say any sale is appreciated......but, I digress! Once the Holidays are over things will get back to normal. Clients will be out buying for themselves again! Yahoo! Dresses, bags, shoes etc!! Friggin Christmas not only forces you to buy for others once a year; but, more money is spent on others than most do on themselves for months. What in the h e double hockey sticks is up with that?? Not to mention you know some of your gifts are regifted or returned. I suppose reselling on #poshmark is always an option for me for those what the hell am I going to do with that gift!! I much prefer it when my clients enjoy buying a dress & bag for themselves once a month or more. Its an entire experience for us both. We chat, shop together virtually and a client clicks away happy after getting in styled, in style, meaning they came first! I want that back!! Its so much more than the sale..its a meaningful exchange! I miss the slower pace, the retail therapy and consistency during the off Holiday time. There is nothing better knowing a client received an item in the mail that made then feel happy and sometimes sexy!! My job there is done! Helping someone change one perspective of themselves for a month is fabulous dahling! Bah humbug....let the holidays end and lets get back to retail therapy!! I know I am not alone.....

Barracutie Boutique has been a very busy little fish this year with many large transitions. As with most families, some bring sadness and most bring joy in some form! You just have to be open to receive it by counting your blessings! It has not been quite 2 years since moving back home to NS from MA and so much has happened....life pushed me away from my boutique business trying to get my new life home back on track. Plus dealing with the emotional crap from a divorce. I fou...nd my own place with a few months, had a term position at a school; one of my favorite responsibilities ever! I have been out West to see my daughter after a long 5 years, I’ve had shingles three times, I’ve been to Cuba recently, my mom championed a major surgery, I’ve had 4 panel interviews, my son is starting a new life, and finally.... here and there, I picked at my Poshmark closet @aggiesrags little by little. When it was announced the app was coming to Canada, I was happy; but, not motivated enough to dedicate time. I knew what it took to make a online boutique successful after having a US #poshmark closet @spadoni57 for 5 years. I was not ready to put aside that amount of time..I couldn’t. Once I figured out how to open a new closet in Canada with no relation to the US; I was starting over. I have 357k US followers and now at 2035 on the Canadian app! Its humbling and cool at the same time! I know what to do; I want to want to do it! I finally took a weekend and uploaded around 50 cover shots and created listings starting with shoes! And then ran off chasing something shiny! I have been spending more time of late and sold 3 items with no drawn out haggling; BAM motivation! Of course that =money=success=positive I’m trying to dedicate more time to my closet and page in 2020; its not a resolution..its an attainable goal for my business and well being! It will be a joy to share my passion through fashion!
