In support of World Mental Health Day, we are committed to raising awareness of mental health issues in workplaces around the world. Mental health challenges are now the norm among employees across all organizational levels. Harvard Business Review's 2019 research study on the effects of mental health in the workplace showed the same prevalence of mental health symptoms across all levels of seniority, debunking the myth that successful leaders are immune. Consequently, a res...ult of having to lead through the pandemic's unprecedented era, HBR's renewed 2021 study showed that C-level executives are now more likely than others to report at least one mental health symptom. In 2019, employers were just starting to grasp the prevalence of workplace mental health challenges, the need to address its stigma, and the emerging link to diversity, equity, and inclusion. In 2020, mental health support evolved into a true business imperative. And today, in 2021, the stakes have been raised even higher thanks to the heightened urgency around DEI.
