Puck Control is a crucial aspect of your game and a skill we will cover in our new 3S Virtual Skills Program. Follow along with Josh below as he demonstrates Between The Legs Puck Control - give it a try at home! Our 3S Virtual Skills Program is perfect for players that are looking to breakaway from the pack, and it all begins tomorrow (Feb 1st!). Sessions will run on Mondays and Wednesdays from 6:45-7:15 AM & 4:00-4:30 PM. All session recordings will be posted to allow for repeat workouts or if a player misses a session. Start your New Year off on the right stride! We have been having so much at our Sunday sessions that we are offering them up again beginning January 17th! Little Speedsters (age group 2016-2014)... Science of Hockey Skating (age group 2013-2006) Science of Goaltending (age group 2013-2006) The program will consist of 6 ice sessions (1 hour per session) at a cost of $179 + HST and will take place at the Bell Aliant Centre. 2020 was a different year that brought along challenges and changes, but still provided us with some great memories, like this one in NFLD. We are grateful for being able to provide our programs to many young talented and dedicated players through our on and off-ice programs. Give & Go with Santa’s Angels This week we are doing a give and go with Santas Angels PEI Charity. We will be giving you five 30 minute live skills sessions Monday-Friday at 4:30 pm in hopes that you go to the Santa’s Angels donation link after the session. Participants of all ages and skill levels are welcome to join and are encouraged to give what they can to Santa’s Angels after the skills session. Each session will be live-streamed through Facebook! Player Sessions - ...Monday, Wednesday, Friday Goalie Sessions - Tuesday, Thursday Materials Needed for the skills sessions: Players - Monday/Wednesday/Friday -Tennis ball -Cone/Object -Pucks -Hockey stick Goalies - Tuesday/Thursday -Goalie glove and blocker -Goalie Stick -Goalie knee guards (that are worn with their pads) Santa’s Angels is a group of individuals who organize, fundraise, and carry out a surprise Christmas morning visit by Santa and his elves to hundreds of people across Prince Edward Island. They are a 100% volunteer-based group that hopes to reach those who, for one reason or another, are not able to provide Christmas gifts and food for their children. Santa and the elves bring food, toys, and gifts on each visit, and each package is customized based upon the needs of the individual or family. Summer Camp Feature : FEARLESS WARRIOR There is a large adjustment to play at the U-15 level where checking is introduced for the first time. Checking is a purposeful skill in the game and like other skills such as: skating, puck control, and shooting, checking skills can be developed and mastered. The Fearless Warrior Camp teaches players how to properly check and receive checks in order to be prepared for high-level play at the U-15 level....
