4 full days of painting this week, more than a dozen community volunteers and here is the almost finished Aidaens Place. There are no thanks big enough for what you all all have done for the youth in our community.

Day to and still excited !! Scotts Aunt Toni and Uncle Micheal Mitchell showed up last night and they are Paintinng today with lots of other volunteers !!

Today was incredible. We had a wonderful time at the vendor event and an amazing turnout of community members helping to paint Aidaens Place. Thank you to Pleasant Supplies and Kent Building Supplies for donating the paint, and to the many people who donating their time today, and again tomorrow. Here is the progress at the end of the day... wow!! Check back tomorrow for more photos and stop by if you want to help paint. We have the garage still to do and lots of paint and brushes.

All I can say is WOW! This community had nearly brought me to tears

If your young person asks to be picked up at Aidaens Place at 7:30pm...its probably because nightly chores start at that time. If possible, pick them up at 8pm instead. When a youth uses the facility, eats here watches movies and hangs-out they have to contribute at the end of the night as often as possible. Lately we have a LOT of youth leaving early and a few being left with all of the work. Respect, responsibility and life skills are lessons that have to be taught, they dont just happen naturally.

I am almost in tears that people are finally noticing us. Guess it is hard to miss us now!

Saturday and Sunday (Sept 12/13)... we have paint... we have brushes... we have ladders... we have people scared of heights !!! Looking for any help at all painting the Center at 487 Main Street. If you like heights we want YOU! if you are good at trimming we want YOU!

Thanks to incredible community support, day 2 was very productive! Thank you Brian Lewis, Brenda Deveau, Dominic Parsons and an amazing passerby named Gina Petees. This is a true community project.

And the painting has started! If anyone wants to help we should be at it all day Wednesday!

This week the outside painting begins! If anyone wants to help just message Scott and hes be happy to accomodate. We will get all of the supplies today!

To all of our youth and some of our volunteers, have a wonderful first day back at school. Remember that all of the emotions you are feeling are normal and everyone else is feeling them to. If you are being homeschooled this year please be kind to your parents and guardians as they most likely are more scared at being a teacher than you are at having them teach you! See you after school and we are here if you need help with anything.

Thank you so much to NSCC for their delivery of food and necessity items! They were unable to do a food hamper this year and wanted their supplies to go to good use. We cannot thank you enough.

I am not sure what happened but the moment we moved in to Aidaens Place the community support has more than doubled, the feedback has been empowering and we are growing by leaps and bounds every day. Our community really understands the importance of youth wellness, peer support and the necessity of our youth having a safe place to go.

Dont forget our yard sale this weekend!! We will have that IOUs tickets and raffles for sale as well as masks and bags made by Venie Nickerson.

It feels like an apple crisp kind of night at Aidaens Place. Yumm!

There are many ways in which you can give to Aidaens Place and we are very thankful for your support. Soon we will announce new guidelines, based on parental consent, that will allow 11 year olds in grade 6 or higher , to access all of the resources and fun at Aidaens Place! With the move of grade 6 being incorporated into MGEC we realize we have to make changes in order to properly provide for our youth.
