This post feels awfully deja-vu. Aiden Laurette Photography will be closing it's doors on December 26th until January 23rd in order to abide with the current regulations being put in place by the Ontario Government in the hope of drastically reducing the number of covid cases in our province. Although I am sad to have to reschedule sessions and postpone seeing those sweet babies; I hope that this lockdown phase will do what it needs to do and reduce the numbers in our provi...nce and reduce everyone's risk of illness. Those of you who have sessions booked in January- I will be in touch privately within the week. Those booked after January 23rd- your sessions will remain as scheduled for now. Are you familiar with the concept of the 5 love languages? There’s a book about it by #garychapman. The idea is that everyone has one or 2 love languages- same kind of idea as the whole enneagram thing. And when someone expresses love to you in that language you perceive their care for you more deeply than you would if they express in one of the languages that isnt your primary love language. Anyways. One of the love languages is physical touch.... People whose love language is physical touch like to hug, snuggle, hold hands, a casual back rub etc. There is a perfection created by God when your only son’s love language is physical touch and so is yours!! This dude fills my cup up so much with his love and affection. He loves snuggles and is literally the world’s greatest hugger. We had some fantastic snuggles today and I got to watch his eyes light up when he received a very special Christmas gift. In some time-space continuum malfunction this girl has somehow turned 7 years old today! Someone help! There is no possible way my girl can be 7 yet!! She is sweet and kind and wild, she has roughly the same ability to control her volume as her mama(none!). She loves her family more than anything in this whole world(Seriously-she told us if she needed to stop going to school so she could still see her grandparents she would). She is curious and creative, but also hilariously... rigid in some things. I couldn't imagine life without her as our oldest babe!! Happy birthday Sweet girl!!

Well... Its been 6 months with these 3 home all day everyday.. But this week we started back into a routine. Tuesday the girls headed to school and Theo was back to daycare. The girls loved their day at school despite the changes and new protocols and Theo was ecstatic to be back in a giant sandbox with other little boys! They all go again in the morning and then head to Grandma and Grandpas house for the weekend while Chris and I head for a quick getaway to the cottag...e. Hey! I am Aiden :) I am usually the one behind the camera or the phone and I dont like to come out front too often! I have spent most of my life in Huron or Perth county. I love small town living and I cant wait to grow old on a farm. I am a mom to 3 wild kiddos and they are the reason I started photography- I wanted to capture every single detail of their childhood. They have been at home all of the time for the last 6 months and for better or worse they all head to s...ome sort of schooling next week.. I married the hunk in the picture 10(!) years ago(clearly we were infants at the time...)
