We have had a travel-filled week here at Aifred Health! Our Chief Science Officer, Dr. David Benrimoh, participated in a panel at the #AISummit in New York City discussing how we can collectively harness the power of #AI for good. Our VP of AI, Robert Fratila, attended #NeurIPS2019 in Vancouver and shared our work on improving clinical decision support in mental health.... On #WorldMentalHealthDay, we recognize the magnitude of suffering as a result of mental health issues both on a global and individual scale. At Aifred Health, it is our core mission to help people battling mental illnesses. Today and everyday, we aim to raise awareness and reduce stigma through open discussion and collaborative work. Together, we can usher in the era of personalized psychiatry to help people get better, faster.

We are very pleased to welcome Donald Olds as our new Chairman. Donald (or Don, as he is known) is an experienced life sciences executive, entrepreneur and director with significant experience raising capital for private and public technology companies. Most recently, he was President and CEO of Montreal-based NEOMED Institute, a position he held until the successful closing of a merger with Vancouver-based CDRD. He has held multiple executive positions as CEO, COO and CFO o...f private and public life science and technology companies and began his business career as a commercial, corporate and investment banker working across a variety of industry verticals. Mr. Olds has significant corporate governance experience as a board member and chair of both for profit and not for profit organizations. He is currently lead director at Goodfood Markets (TSX:FOOD), director of Acasti Pharma (NASDAQ:ACST), past Chair of Oxfam Quebec and director of private Presagia Corp. He holds an MBA and M.Sc. from McGill University. Welcome aboard, Don!

Aifred Health is excited to announce that we've completed our search for a business-savvy and passionate CEO and we've truly struck gold! We are proud to introduce Marina Massingham. A seasoned business leader with more than 15 years senior management experience, Ms. Massingham has held senior roles at management consultancy Kaiser Associates, Cadbury and Novartis. Ms. Massingham also brings Canadian healthcare startup experience to the Aifred team, having co-founded Canadia...n pharmaceutical startup TeOra Health, acquired by Aequus Pharmaceuticals in 2015. Most recently, she served as VP Marketing for Aequus, prior to joining Aifred Health. Based in Montréal since 2013, Ms. Massingham holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Leeds and a Masters in International Management from Kings College, London. David Benrimoh, our outgoing CEO, will pursue his passion for cutting edge research and #DoingTheScienceRight as our new Chief Science Officer. David led the company for 16 successful months and is excited to begin working alongside Marina to fulfill Aifred's mission to help millions of people struggling with depression.
