Very nice flight over town today. Unfortunately we slipped on the snow and ended up saying hello to some barbed wire so the Black Pearl will be going to the hanger a little early this year. No worries though... my other balloon Jung Yeller (we just call him Carl) is still up for a little flying.

You know,... there's something to be said about getting home from work and feeling like Snoopy after skipping across the sky and spreading little flowers.

Just a little taste of today's flight, lots of great weather lately and I've been playing with video...

This has been the best fall I have seen in years so enjoy it! The Red Deer airport is a training place and they were busy so I didn't even think about a touch and go today, but a fly by was just as good. I also tried my hand at some panorama shots, and a gorgeous day like this can't go without a shout out to the good folks at Crossroads Church.

September in Alberta is a great place to be 1 pic is a job that my buddy Steve at Proform was involved in downtown and the last one is Red Deer's newest subdivision, Evergreen kitty corner to Clearview Market in behind the new school.

I almost forgot how pretty it was to fly around Calgary. It was my good fortune to have a great group from Millarville Race Track to remind me, and Scotty to help my crew with some local knowledge about fording a creek. Some things are better found out after the fact :)

I had skydivers yesterday. We launched from Canyon Ski on the east side of town. This is probably one of the best balloon pictures I have... But I think there may be more to come...

People always ask me "how do you steer a balloon". I tell them you don't. You go where the wind takes you, but the wind isn't the same at all altitudes. Thats how you steer a balloon.

Aaaahhh another day above ground Even better because nobody was talking about non existent "emergency landings".
