Feel Little Relief After Extreme Cold Weather Up North ....

Copied from The Driver’s Side Good morning everyone. I would just like to talk a little bit about the video going on with the big accident in Texas. I want to say WTF is going on out there!?! Are people just that stupid in today's time to know that the roads are icy out there and you can’t drive on it? What’s going on? Doesn’t anyone pay attention anymore? Additionally, for you truck drivers that say you know everything. Well, let me tell you, back in the older days we neve...r saw accidents like this. It’s like an everyday thing now! What happened to the drivers of today? Yes, today! All they do now is put a foot up on the dash, have a blue tooth on their head, and not listen to the most important tools they have... a CB radio. I just can’t believe that you are so important that you need Bluetooth on your head all day. What you are not is an astronaut. You're a truck driver & you can’t tell me your on the phone that much In a day. When I started to drive, all we had was a CB. That’s all we needed to go down the road and we helped one another. Today there are many family members in that accident going to the hospital or to a funeral home. Really!?! Are we down to this as humans? Take off the dam headset, turn the CB on and drive the dam truck. I know it’s not just the truck at fault here, but if we can stop the trucks it will not be so bad. So everyone please, open up your CB and pay attention to your driving. You're a damn missile out there and before you say that I don’t know what I am talking about, I've been out here for over 45 years with over 7 million safe miles driving. Therefore, I think I can say I've been there. Please be safe! See more

UPDATE: The owner of the truck contacted police in the afternoon, after he realized he was missing a tire off his truck. Traffic Section continues to investigat...e. The EPS is asking the driver or owner of a semi-tractor trailer that lost a dual wheel on the Henday that struck another vehicle, to contact police. Southwest Division and commercial vehicle investigators responded to the southbound Anthony Henday leg just after 10 a.m. today, after a 11R-22.5-sized dual wheel came off a tractor trailer and struck the windshield of a commercial truck, also damaging the cab. It's fortunate the driver, who managed to pull over to the side of the road, only sustained minor injuries, but was taken to hospital as a precaution. Investigators believe the tractor trailer may have been travelling either northbound or southbound.
