At our Addiction Awareness event on November 28th, Lorraine Z will share her experience, strength and hope. Lorraine is a recovered alcoholic who has remained sober for over 30 years through the 12 step programs of A.A. and Alanon. Lorraine is currently the Public Information chair of A.A. Regina. She is responsible for collaborating and providing resources for the professional community to assist them and their clients in recognizing addiction. Lorraine will discuss addiction from the perspective of a recovered alcoholic - what happened, what it was like while she was drinking, and the tools she uses to stay sober, along with the roadblocks she encountered. Lorraine finds that when she focuses on her own recovery, change happens in her own life, and those around her are free to recover in their own time, and in their own way.

Hi everyone. We continue to have "live" meetings at the Alano Club. All groups are very diligent regarding social distancing and following provincial Covid-19 guidelines and we thank you for this effort. We are also grateful for donations towards the financial well-being of the Alano Club. We are registered with CRA and can provide tax deductible receipts. Alano Clubs are recognized in North America as a safe place to attend a meeting. We know that many people have visi...ted other Alano Clubs in their travels and we would be interested in your experience when you visited these Alano Clubs. Perhaps a short story could be shared and a picture of the exterior of the Alano Club you visited? We are always looking for ideas to improve the Alano Club of Regina. Thank you.

Hello Everyone, The Covid-19 pandemic is not over but we understand our primary purpose is to carry the message. We are happy to announce that we have a few meetings happening at the Alano Club. Therefore, out of respect for AA members who may be vulnerable to the virus, and out of respect for the wider community, AA members should continue safe practices when at meetings. Monday to Friday at 5:25pm The 5:25 Rolling Home Group... Saturday at 9:00am The Saturday at 9:00am Group Saturday at 7:30pm - Saturday Night Mtg Sunday at 10:00am Primary Purpose Group As per the Government of Saskatchewan guidelines/directive we have implemented safety precautions for all member that chose to attend: There will be no more then 30 people per meeting. This is on a first come first serve basis. Although we can’t accommodate 30 people in our room with the social distancing practises we will open up the back patio if we run into this instance. Chairs have been measured and placed with the proper distancing to ensure members safety. We ask that members do not move them Stay home if you are sick, attend one of the online zoom meetings Wash your hands Sanitize your chair after the meeting, sanitizer is provided at each meeting We will have coffee but you are asked to serve yourself Tradition 7 will be collected but the basket will not circulate the room, it will be placed at the front of the table With the nicer weather, it is suggested that is may be safer to visit outdoors than inside. Fellowship and comradery can continue in the parking lot after the meeting. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact the board.

Alano Club of Regina 30.07.2020

Hi everyone, The Province of Saskatchewan has superseded the Friday's (March 20th) decision by the City of Regina. Groups of 25 people or less are allowed to meet and must practise social distancing.... The Alano Club encourages various AA groups to decide on a group conscience basis whether they will hold regular AA/NA meetings. You can drop by the Alano Club to see if the respective group is meeting or please contact a respective group member to find out if the meeting is continuing. We know AA meetings are critical to find and maintain sobriety. On behalf of the Alano Board of Directors, we encourage members and clients to practice appropriate measures (as provided by government officials). Practice social distancing, wash your hands and use sanitizing agents. Be well, be kind and stay sober. This to shall pass. The Alano Board of Directors..

Alano Club of Regina 26.07.2020

On behalf of the 5:25 rolling home group we will be temporarily closing in an effort to curb the spread of COVID-19. This decision did not come lightly and we would like to thank that group members that tried very hard to keep the doors open during this time in our city. Tradition 4 states, Each group should be autonomous except in matters affecting other groups or AA as a whole. We want to ensure the safety of our group members. AA has been through a lot over the past 85 ...years I trust that the higher power of AA will see us through this too. We want to encourage our members to continue to pick up the phone, use the phone lists, use the online resources available.

Alano Club of Regina 13.07.2020

City just declared a state of emergency and banned any meetings more than 5 other than for emergency personnel. This basically ends AA meetings until further instructions are made available from City of Regina. Fellowship will find a way. The original AA’s survived world war 2 when AA was only 5-8 years old. Thankfully technology makes staying in touch a lot easier. See you whenever this is all over.... We will keep you posted. Stay SAFE ... If you can PREDICT it, you can PREVENT it

Alano Club of Regina 01.07.2020

The 525 will remain open for now. Please take the appropriate measures you need to in order to stay safe.

Alano Club of Regina 25.06.2020
