A message from our President, Al: "Alberni Valley Soaring Association is currently closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We will be closed until 1 June subject to changes in the worldwide situation. Stay safe!" We hope everyone is safe in these challenging times. We will see you in the sky as soon as we can definitely keeping 2m between gliders!

Sunday marked the 2020 AVSA AGM which means only one thing... The 2020 gliding season is almost here (we're counting the days)! Congratulations to Andrzej Roznowski who was awarded the Doug Moore Memorial Trophy for best cross country performance at AVSA in 2019... Second year in a row! With thanks to 2017 recipient Les Sainsbury for presenting.

As of Thanksgiving weekend, the 2019 gliding season has come to a close! And a successful season it was at that welcoming new pilots to the beautiful Alberni Valley and our longterm members flying strong. As always, it's sad to close an empty hangar, but with a winter of rest AVSA will be back and better than ever in the spring. Hope to see you out there!
