The SK's at Albert College tried snowshoeing this week. They discovered that it was easier to climb the icy hill using the snowshoes, commenting "It's easier going up in snow shoes but harder coming down." They also compared the shape of the snowshoes to a horseshoe hare or rabbit footprint, observing that "Our tracks look like giant bunny tracks." So much fun and learning!

Natalie and John are enacting a reading from 'Romeo and Juliet' in Grade 10 English during remote learning today at Albert College.

We have three #TuesdayTrivia champions to announce this week! Congratulations to Hilary Boden, Donna Robbins and Jennifer Lynn who answered this week's trivia question correctly. Albert College was originally located on the corner of what is now College Street East and North Park Street. The original College was designed to accommodate 150 residents with classroom facilities for 400 students. It was partially destroyed by fire in the spring of 1917. Construction on the present Dundas Street West site began in 1923 and the new school opened in 1926.

Albert College is modifying this year's calendar to have a one-week March Break, and will end the school year one week earlier. March Break will take place from March 15 to 19, and classes will end a week earlier in June with Convocation on Saturday, June 12.

Congratulations to Current Parent, Dr. Darlene Hirt who answered yesterday's #TuesdayTrivia question with, the Scuba Club! The photo was from 1960-61 and pictured students in the Albert College indoor pool that still remains today. Tune in next week for more fun trivia!

Students in Mrs. Mayer's Kinesiology class Albert College were given the task of creating models of a synovial joint. The models had to include all structures of the joint, including bones, muscles, ligaments, etc. Some of the joints that were constructed were the knee, elbow and hip joint. Well done!
