#LeCanadaSeSouvient ***** Remembrance Day in the shadow of the pandemic... we were told that all commemorations had to be cancelled. I just couldn't accept it! They, our veterans, faced horrors unimaginable to ordinary people when Canada called on them! For me, this day is theirs! Our duty to remember doesn't have an expiry date... With all the necessary precautions, a small group of us met at the Royal Canadian Legion in Brossard, at 11 am sharp, to honour their sacrifice! I am deeply grateful to Mr Jean-Guy Lavallière, president of branch 215 of the RCL, for his devotion and perseverance. I would also like to thank Brossard's Mayor, Mrs Doreen Assaad, for her welcome presence! To the students of REACH school, THANK YOU! You were just five, but your presence shows your respect and recognition! And finally, with Mr Guy Leclerc, an admirable Lambertois, I also laid a wreath at the cenotaph of Saint-Lambert... #CanadaRemembers
