These Indigenous people of Columbia are beautiful. They understand healing the water, and the water returning. They are conscious of the patterns that connect the earth, water, thoughts and all of life. I pray that they receive the help needed for the water and land to heal, and I pray that these beautiful people survive and prosper.

Great coverage in the Globe and Mail. Please share. The question we are facing as a society relates to the monetary value of aggregate today, versus the value... of pure spring water indefinitely, for generations to come. With a steadily growing population and a changing climate, pure spring water forever seems like the better value. Forever is a long time. Is Canada willing to jeopardize the gold standard of water for a few trucks of gravel? See more

This is one of the biggest most important issues of our generation. We must stop logging the old growth trees NOW! There are hardly any left. They are ancient, precious beings, some well over 1000 years old. They must be protected! NOW! Logging companies are destroying the trees, which in turn destroys the watershed, and the many lifeforms which depend on healthy forests and waters. Old growth forests are not an unlimited "resource". They are our heritage. There a...re very few of the giant old growth trees left in Canada, most in BC. The BC Premier talk-talks about how they are protected, but if you do the research, the protection plans are limited and flawed, and still, the logging of these precious trees continues. This is not a BC issue, this is a Canadian issue, and in fact a global issue. These trees are the lungs of the world. These trees have been alive since long before the modern world, long before colonization of North America, long before your great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great grandfather. Some of these majestic trees are well over 1000 years old. They cannot simply "be replanted", they are irreplaceable. They are wonders of the world. Stop logging old growth NOW, not in 3 years, not in 3 months, not after "more studies", stop right now! NO MORE CUTTING. No one is saying end all logging, just do not log these old ones. Log the replanted second growth trees. We can have a sustainable forestry industry AND protect the old growth. It is corporate greed that fuels the clear cutting and cutting of old growth. Want to get involved to help the trees? Check out on Facebook: Fairy Creek Blockade, and Rainforest Flying Squad, Please, do all you can. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EfyEYE650t8

Good news for the Water Protectors working to stop Line 3.

All Nations Water Protectors Project 27.08.2021

This is an excellent and well informed article on this very important issue. Protecting this precious groundwater is our duty. Allowing gravel companies to waste this limited water for corporate gain is disgusting. Our local, regional and Provincial government have let us down by not protecting this water, let us hope they will act before it is too late. This means YOU Jill Dunlop and Bruce Stanton MP .

Get your comments in by April 23rd! Stop the Sarjeant gravel company from draining millions of gallons a day from our Aquifer, which has the cleanest water on earth! Glad to see the Council Of Canadians giving their support. Please make sure you help too.... we have until April 23rd to tell the Ontario government to say NO ..... https://canadians.org/action/ero-site41

The Rescue Lake Simcoe Coalition works hard to protect the water of Lake Simcoe. A daunting task. A worthwhile quest. A responsibility we all share. A labour of love. Love for the water. Love for the future generations. Love for life. The All Nations Water Protectors Project will continue to help support Rescue Lake Simcoe. This group is one that the ANWPP fused glass water drops generate donations for. If you purchase an ANWPP Water Drop Suncatcher, or Water Is Life jewelry, you can not only get a lovely waterdrop artwork, you can help contribute to this worthwhile cause. Lake Simcoe, we love you.

Calling all WATER PROTECTORS - I recently learned of a huge threat to the waters of Georgian Bay.... I encourage all Water Protectors to learn about this monstrous plan by TC Energy (formerley Trans Canada Pipeline) to draw 6 billion gallons a day from Georgian Bay for a Hydro generating station, called a "Pumped Storage Plant" that they want to build near Meaford Ontario on Georgian Bay. This mega facility will require huge disruptions, including destroying aprox. 500 a...cres of forest, digging a 375 acre hole for a reservoir, potential huge new power lines, and installation of 3 huge water turbines in Georgian Bay which will suck in massive amounts of water (and small fish and water life) and pump it uphill inland to a holding reservoir. Then this water will be released downhill to generate hydro, and it will all flow back into the lake, potentially stirring up the clay lake bottom, and causing turbidity which will also harm waterlife. The TCE Proposal is to draw 6 billion gallons a day!!! Based on my estimate of 12 hours in, 12 hours out, that means a flow of 500 million gallons an HOUR!!! Can you imagine what this will do to Georgian Bay? OMG!!! This will hurt the fish, and the water ecosystems and screw up the waters of Georgian Bay for miles. The flow rate is so large it may affect the water flows and currents, and may cloud the clear waters. This is aprox. 42% of the flow rate of Niagara Falls!!! This plan is currently in proposal stage. PLEASE sign the petition, and get involved with the group Save Georgian Bay Group and learn more about this issue at Save Georgian Bay and at at their website https://www.savegeorgianbay.ca/

Gentle IS strong, like water. Water flows around, above, below. It moves and changes and bends. It is strong yet gentle. Sometimes still, sometimes stormy. Sometimes raindrops, sometimes clouds. A pounding ocean, or a trickling stream. Water flows through all of life, connecting, rippling, cleaning, refreshing and feeding the earth. Flowing in our veins. Flowing in the leaves. Flowing in everything. A reflection, and a teacher. A persistent, soft, undeniable force. A force th...at can carve a mountain. A spirit that flows through time. Water dances with the moon, following the songs that call it home to the ocean. Thank you water. All Nations Water Protectors Project

In addition to the need to do all we can to keep the Great Lakes clean, it is also VITAL to protect the groundwater aquifers that contain clean water. The earth filters the surface water and over time the aquifers release their clean water into the lakes. Unfortunately there are few laws in place to protect aquifers, and much of it is wasted by industry drawing millions of gallons of water from groundwater sources for industrial profit. Aquifers are not unlimited. They must be protected.

All Nations Water Protectors Project 27.07.2020

The All Nations Water Protectors Project is proud to support the Mi'kmaki Water Walk 2020 . Please consider donating to this fundraiser in support of their 2020 Water Walk. The ANWPP will continue to sell fused glass Water Drop Suncatchers and Water Is Life jewelry to help raise funds for the yearly Mi'kmaki water walk, but this year due to the Covid virus, efforts to sell drops have temporarily "dried up". When things start flowing again, the support from ANWPP water dr...op sales will continue to raise funds for them as best we are able. The Covid virus is an example of a threat to life, yet we know that one day it will pass. This crisis is nothing compared to what would happen if there is no clean water for people to drink. The ongoing need to protect our water remains. This earth and the water are gifts, and bring us life. We are nothing without them. Water is Life. Thank you to the Mi'kmaki Water Walkers and all other Water Protectors for all you do.

Our CONNECTION to water is a RELATIONSHIP! This is an amazing video, with a message I truly agree with. Thank you Saugeen Nation, for saying NO to burying nuclear waste right beside Lake Huron . They demonstrate HOW to protect the water. Resisting the offer of 150 Million dollars, they chose to protect the lands and waters for future generations. This is courage. This is integrity. Thank you. https://www.counterpunch.org//saugeen-ojibway-nation-has/

Very excited to be working on a Water Education Program for children. It will be called "Water Connections", and will offer children the chance to learn, to create, and most of all to LOVE the water. The program will be offered to all Elementary Schools in Simcoe County. Once experiencing the Water Connections workshops, each child will become a Water Ambassador. This program that the All Nations Water Protectors Project is currently developing fills my heart with joy. The goal is to have the Water Connections Children's Education Program operational and in schools this coming April. Details will be released early March. Cant wait! Stay tuned for developments.....

The All Nations Water Protector Project is pleased to welcome the Owen Sound Water Watchers as one of our four ANWPP "Home Team" Water Protector Organizations. The Owen Sound Water Watchers organization works to protect the Water of the Bruce Peninsula, and is active in trying to have this area become a "Blue Community" . Liz Zetlin works tirelessly to protect the Water through the Owen Sound Water Watchers organization, and has given much to this cause. Liz, I am sorr...y it took so long to officially add your group, but finally catching up on a few things. Your group was chosen by Nadine Desjardins who is part of the ANWPP team, and who was very impressed by how much effort and time you give to protecting the Water..... When people purchase any of the ANWPP Water Drop Suncatchers or Water Is Life jewelry directly from the artist or the ANWPP, 25% of their purchase will go to the ANWPP "home team" of their choice. I hope that this will produce an income "stream" for you over time. As this project is fairly grassroots, donations may not be huge, but I trust they will grow over time.... It is also an option for the Owen Sound Water Watchers to generate orders for the water drops, and if you or your group make an order and arrange sales you can generate fundraising amounts of 50% of Retail. If you are ever interested in this just contact me to discuss. Thank you for all you do for the water. Together we can make a difference. :)

This article contains important info about THMs that are in treated water. In the process used in treating water for cities and towns, the chlorine that is used as a disinfectant mixes with organic material to create THMs. THM's are carcinogenic. THMs are invisible, odourless and tasteless. People in many cities and towns drink and use this water without knowing it! Exposure can be more rapid when absorbed through the skin and worse still when inhaled. THMs are unknown t...o most Canadians. Chloroform, the most studied compound in the THM family, is recognized by Health Canada as a possible cause of cancer, while another, bromodichloromethane (BDCM), is a probable cause. Yet unsafe levels of THM are common. For example, in Ontario, provincial data shows that since 2016, more than 80 communities have exceeded the provincial limit of 100 ppb of THMs. This article contains details regarding THMs and the struggle that the residents of Tottemham have been facing in trying to get access to clean water. Water Protector Nancy McBride and the tottenham-water.ca have been trying for many years to bring attention to the problem the residents are facing. Clean water is something that all people have a right to, and providing it should be a priority of our government. Control of water should NEVER be privatized, as the goal of any private company is profit, not public health. This issue is important, and this problem is invisible. Please read the article to learn more. https://www.simcoe.com//9706871-they-complained-for-year/ See more

Glad the All Nations Water Protectors Project is able to help the Water Protectors group The Friends of the Waverley Uplands and Water Keeper Erin Archer. The ANWPP will continue to raise funds for this group. If we all do what we can, together we can make a difference in the shared goal of loving and protecting the Water.

All Nations Water Protectors Project 19.01.2020

Good article. YES we need to recognize protection and access to clean water as a public trust. Our laws should safeguard water from corporate ownership. And there is a strong need to really address the cumulative effects of draining lakes, rivers and aquifers, as these are all limited resources. We are responsible for protecting water for future generations. And yes extension of the moratorium on new and expanded permits should be continued until such time as our water laws are better

All Nations Water Protectors Project 11.01.2020

Support for tottenham-water.ca, they have been fighting for clean water for many years now. Hope lots of people attend their upcoming Rally! Good for you Nancy McBride, you are truly a strong and determined Water Protector, - and those ANWPP fused glass Water Is Life Earrings look great on you!

The Wabanaki Water Walkers and Mikmaq community deserve all support as they fight to protect the Shubenacadie River. This article explains why Mikmaq Water Protectors work to protect the Shubenacadie River from Alton gas. Releasing that much salty brine into a freshwater river is just plain wrong.

I am very pleased with this article about the All Nations Water Protectors Project, recently featured in the Neighbours of Horseshoe Valley and Shanty Bay - Best Version MediaMagazine, Oct. 2019 issue. I hope that the ANWPP will continue to grow to help many Water Protectors. As I approach my big yearly Art show (the Images Studio Tour), I have been very busy making Fused glass Water Drops, Water Is Life Jewelry, and several artworks based on Water themes, all of which I wi...ll donate partial proceeds from sales to the Water Protector groups. I will hopefully raise lots of money to help with Water Protection, specially 2 local WP Groups The Friends of the Waverley Uplands and Rescue Lake Simcoe Coalition which were featured in the article. Thank you to Leslie Varsava and Allie Young for the coverage, and for the timing. Thank you to my partners in the All Nations Water Protectors Project - Erin Archer, Rosanne Irving, Nadine Desjardins and Debbie Sipkema. Thank you for the wonderful photo of me in the Forest, taken by Violet N Brown . Thank you to all Water Protectors. And thank you to the Water, for giving us life. :)

All Nations Water Protectors Project 07.12.2019

This event was truly one of the most beautiful and powerful days of my life. I will remember it always. As we gathered together, all the many women with their copper vessels, praying for the water, tears were rolling down many cheeks, but our voices raised in song, and our hearts were lifted by spirit, and our determination to protect water grew. As I stood side by side with the others, in the freak snowstorm that kept many away, we shivered with cold, and knew that the chall...enges ahead to protect water would not be easy. Each person there shared a truly sacred intent. I was honoured to meet Grandmother Josephine Ba and to reconnect with so many. The ripples from that day still spread.... I was already involved in Water Protection, but this day was truly sacred, it touched my heart and I committed to working to protect water for the rest of my life. This day was the day I had to vision to create the All Nations Water Protectors Project, which although growing slowly, will continue to contribute to Water Protectors and Water Walkers. This day the dream for the All Nations Water Protector Project took shape. Because I asked myself "what can I do to help?". And I knew what I could do, so I am doing it. The WABANAKI WATER WALK 2019 is one of the groups that the ANWPP has chosen as a "home team" group. They work tirelessly year after year to protect the water from Alton Gas and other threats. They carry the water from the Shubenacadie River, and their yearly water walk starting in Nova Scotia is 2 Months long! Such dedication. Myself and the other members of the ANWPP have much respect for them all, and appreciate all they do for the Water. I trust that the ANWPP will grow to help the Wabanaki Water Walkers, and many other Water Protectors in the future. If we all do our part, together we can make a big difference. Water unites All Nations. What can YOU do to help protect Water?

A great picture of an ANWPP fused glass Water Drop Suncatcher hanging in the vehicle of Erin Archer, active Water Protector, Water Keeper, who works tirelessly to protect the world's purest water - the Alliston Aquifer which runs under this whole region. This water is treasured at "The Flow" in Elmvale where people go to get a drink of this beautiful pure water. Erin works with The Friends of the Waverley Uplands to protect the aquifer from the proposed expansion of Duff...erin Mining at Teedon Pit. The Friends of the Waverley Uplands is one of the All Nations Water Protector Project's "Home Team" organizations, and I look forward to the ANWPP continuing to contribute to their efforts. Anyone interested in helping this cause, if you purchase an ANWPP Water Drop Suncatcher or Water Is Life Jewelry, you may choose the Freinds of the Waverley Uplands to receive the donation. Thanks for the great picture Erin! And thanks for all you do for the Water. :)
