Allan's Custom Bow Tuning 07.11.2020

When you discover that your ground blind isn't big enough to draw your back inside.... lol. It was fine last year ( it was tight but doable). this year with stabilizer mounted lower, it doesn't work. Chalk that one up in the "things I should have thought of" column.

Finally got around to doing a review of the Annihilator Broadheads. I'll keep you all updated if/when I shoot when at an animal, and also probably in the spring when I have a chance to shoot them at some longer distances. So far, I'm very impressed, and if anyone is looking for heads for this year still, go see Heights Archery & Hunting Supply, they have them in stock.

Another killer set of @firewirecustomstrings installed. I love the bright color string/ muted color riser combos. The way it contrasts and makes the strings pop a little more just really catches my eye. #bowtuning #archery #firewirebowstrings #bows #primebows #bowhunting

If you don't instagram it, did you even go hunting? This is my favorite time of year to hunt. It's a little cold, but not too cold to take my bow out. And the bucks are starting to establish territory. Sitting on scrape lines, near rubs and lightly rattling can be super effective at this time. I haven't seen any movement yet, but I always tell myself, that can literally change in a second.... #bowhunting #hunting #whitetails #whoneedsamuzzleloader

It's been a while since I took pics of tunes. (Mostly cause its hunting season and unless its dead, I forget to take pics.) This one belongs to the one and only Rob Cox. We had to wait for warranty limbs to replace a cracked one, but once I got the new ones put on and dialed to the desired draw weight, this was the first shot. There are 2 big important things when tuning a bow. 1. Having good repeatable form. If you don't have this, you'll be chasing your tail. 2. The pr...oper arrows. If you start with the right arrow to bow combination, everything else is just a matter of putting everything where it belongs. *ok I may have simplified that a little bit, but truly, if you have those 2 things, usually the rest is easy. #bowtuning #bowsandarrows #bullethole #archery
