the ONLY reason it makes sense to mix a purebred dog with another breed is if you are aiming to reduce genetic issues that one specific breed is more prone to. poodles absolutely have genetic issues as a breed, but breeding them out to labs and goldens and bernese mountain dogs randomly does little to reduce these risks and could just leave you open to a combined risk of both pure breeds. bad hips AND glaucoma. etc. producing doodles is very rarely if ever done responsibly. b...reeding dogs in GENERAL is very rarely if ever done responsibly. do your research and choose your future dog based on deep compassion and a sense of responsibility to this new member of your family. and remember that pure bred dogs can and do end up in the shelter, so look around at shelters before you dish out for a puppy! there's no promise of a "good" easy dog with the purchase of a puppy, just as there's no promise of a difficult and/or "broken" dog with the adoption of a shelter dog.
