With the wet and generally grey weather making a return to the island it is worth remembering to use those headlights more. The daytime running lights will allow you to be seen but only from the front and not from the rear especially in any spray. Although these photos come from the UK they give a great idea of how headlights make you stand out better against the background in poor weather.

This lady sure had a lucky escape! Very lucky that she slipped on exiting the car and her drivers door passed over the top of her legs whilst being spun around by the impact of the truck. Staying put with your seatbelt in place and relying on your cars safety systems is generally the best bet but I can see why she had the urge to try and run with a large semi sliding her way!
