Tax filing day is ALWAYS confusing. For a reminder, here is how it goes. Personal income taxes are due April 30 or the first business day if the 30th is on a we...ekend. If you do not owe taxes, there is no penalty to file after the 30th. If you (or your spouse) have any self employment income, your filing deadline is June 15th. You taxes are still due April 30. By meeting the appropriate filing deadline you cannot be charged any penalties on unpaid taxes, but you will be assessed interest for amounts owing after May 1 this year.
