Walnut cabinet doors unfinished that are sanded and ready to be finished. These are our Canyon door style. It is a shaker style door with a step down detail between the rail and the panel. It is a classic design with a subtle twist that works. This design is on the uptrend.

The first step to make a wood cabinet door is to rip kiln dried Maple lumber boards into the width required for the door rails.

Rustic unfinished cabinet doors made from knotty pine offer a unique character. We line them up on the inspection wall to ensure they look good together. The door style is our Lancaster upgraded with a solid wood reverse raised panel. The panel order code is F2.

A kitchen project completed with our Henegan style shaker doors retrofit onto Ikea cabinet boxes. The white colour is Benjamin Moore Chantilly Lace OC-65. The blue island colour is Benjamin Moore Hale Navy HC-154.

Running tall wood doors through our 52 wide belt sander to calibrate the thickness to an accuracy of 0.1mm. Our machine has three sanding heads fitted with progressively finer grits. These are tall pantry doors that will be painted primed and pained. The center rail is positioned to align with adjoining cabinetry lines.

Custom made maple dovetail drawers for vanities with pipe cutaway. The cutaway allows you to efficiently use the space alongside the drain pipes under the sink which is usually wasted space.

This video illustrates the height adjustments for the front and back of the slide. The slide is Blumotion undermount soft close.

It is a shaker style with a groove detail accentuating the joint between the stiles and rails. The lip code is #7 and is a bevel that matches the beveled joint groove perfectly.

Sanding back a coat of tinted primer to ensure a smooth beautiful finish. A good final finish is the result of good preparation. We pay attention to the details such as hand sanding the grooves in this island panel.

Mahogany raised panel doors coming through our denibbing machine. This video shows a custom specified door with a shaker frame (order code 52). The rails are 2-1/4 wide. The center panel is our order code A. Some of the doors have a center rail that separates two raised panels within one door frame. Mahogany is an imported wood with a deep rich red hue. It machines and sands nicely. These doors are shown unfinished but become even darker with lacquer or stain. Mahogany is less commonly ordered than maple but we processed orders for three different customers in Mahogany this week. A trend starting?

Dovetail drawer for under a sink. The cutout allows the drawer to slide past the sink drain pipe for the best utilization of the space. Fancy and functional! The drawer is solid hard maple with 5/8 thick sides and a sturdy 3/8 bottom finished with two coats of lacquer. The notch in the rear accommodated soft close full extension undermount drawer slides.

A Walnut shaker door in the raw (unfinished). This is our Henegan door design with an optional solid wood center panel with reverse raise (option code: F2). The Henegan has a beveled inside profile that is elegant, less prone to collecting dust and easy to wipe clean. Walnut is a premium hardwood for high end projects. It gets deeper, darker and richer when finished. It goes well with whites.

Machining a maple raised center panel on a shaper and testing the rail fit. A center panel made from solid wood will expand and contract mildly with changes in humidity. The panel is designed to float in the rail groove so that it does not push the frame joints apart during expansion. Here we are testing the fit of the frame into the rail to ensure the fit is just right. Not too loose that the panel will rattle, not too tight that the panel is bound. It needs to be perfect.

A rustic hickory shaker door. This is our Lancaster with an optional solid center panel (F2). A great wood choice when a lot of wood character is desired.

Upper cabinet doors with clear glass enhanced by decorative mullions. The door is our Tilford customized with extra wide (3) wide rails. The paint is Benjamin Moore Atrium White PM-13. These doors have been retrofit onto Ikea Sektion cabinets.

Our Henegan door is a shaker style with a bevel inside profile that gently slopes into the recessed panel. Not only is it attractive but the bevel is less prone to collecting dust making cleaning easier and less frequent. This door is one of our most popular. It is available in real wood as well.
