Since February 7th Haiti has been suffering from a political and economic crisis. Which has made it impossible for us to get urgently needed supplies from Port au Prince. Yet, we were able to meet our critical needs thanks to supplies shipped by Project C.U.R.E., Centura Global Health Initiatives (GHI), Karla Prentiss, and all those who made the shipment and organization of the shipment possible,

Recently our area has experienced an outbreak of Diptheria which has led to the death of 3 children including 2 in the past two weeks. Diptheria is one of the vaccines provided for free by the government yet so many children are still unvaccinated. Since the beginning of the outbreak our community health team has been determined to intensify their efforts to vaccinate more people, especially in the affected area, and to also provide education on signs and symptoms of Diptheria. Please pray that these efforts may slow down the spread of the disease. Below is a picture of our community health team just before they left on a vaccination campaign prepared with vaccines and a loud speaker ready to inform and educate and save lives.
