Sometimes there’s no perfect time to workout. And if you’re a parent that is trying to fit all the things into your day, then sometimes you just have to multi task it. Between each round today, I folded laundry. I feel accomplished with my checklist for the day, and I made time for a nature walk, a workout, a row, and a meditation. ... If you want to do today’s workout, here it is: 4 rounds total: 10 360 10 Horizontal Top Lunge with a Horizontal Press 10 Warrior 3 position hold with Back Row 20 Switch Squats Repeat other side 10 Tripods 10 Front Leg Kick Thrus 10 Push Ups 40 Mountain Climbers Finisher: Tabata 20 sec work/10sec rest (6x) Alternate between the following exercises: - Steel Mace Slide + Climb - Tricep Pushups

Single Arm 10+2s for the WIN today! This is one of my favourite moves! I find it more challenging then a regular 360, but easier then single arm 360s. The rhythm feels awesome if you can get into the groove. I focus on pocket to pocket with a pause at the bottom to stabilize. If I don’t pull down far enough or keep it close to my body, the movement starts to lose that amazing rhythm and tempo. ... Let me know if you give it a try! Happy Monday!

I have to admit - I’ve been on a little bit of a soul search. Feeling a bit lost with focus and lacking the demanding schedule I once I had, I don’t have to get in a workout at a set time. Which led me this week to putting it off and actually not doing it. I was active, I just didn’t pick up my mace. And to be completely honest, more then anything, it messes with my mind. Working out is a part of what makes me happy. It makes me calm. It fuels my confidence and the ability... to KNOW I am capable of anything I set my mind to. I love feeling good in the clothes I wear, but more then anything, I love feeling like I am the strongest I can mentally be at all times. I workout for a STRONG MIND + a STRONG BODY. They are not separate, they are one. So today I started a new Strength Phase Steel Mace Program, and am recommitting to myself and my health.

A part of our journey and having to shift gears, means shifting more of my energy to Fern. It’s an incredible opportunity, and one I will never get twice. She turns 4 in October and I am truly enjoying every moment we spend together. She makes me laugh everyday, teaches me to slow down and enjoy the small things, and cooking with her is a blast (and also a bit crazy).
