Altona Lea Farms

Today Altona Lea Farms hosted a Durham Farm Connections Facebook Live Tour with Durham Region Farmers and did a video on making hay when the sun shines. Have a look and see see what you think of Glenn’s tractor driving and baling. Carolyn did her best to hold on and film. It was a good brother & sister bonding time in a tractor that had the really little to no working air conditioning. . It was a high of 31 degrees Celsius here today - so it was a bit toasty. But with rain in the forecast, it was important to bale and get some good hay put away for the coming year. For each farmer (or farm family) that hosts a tour, Durham Farm Connections is making a donation, as a thank you, to a local food bank. We picked the Simcoe Hall Mission (https://simcoehall.com/) in Oshawa for our donation to be directed towards.
