This is a real air bnb known as a bear bnb - a replica of Winnie the Pooh's home in Hundred Acre Wood. But as you can imagine, guests of even an enchanted destination must observe proper house etiquette, so Strictly no heffalumps inside the house Hands are to be kept out of the honey pots A snack of a little something encouraged at 11 o’clock in the morning... Poohsticks is mandatory Multiple naps are permitted No pets (other than Roos, Tiggers, Eeyores, Piglets and Pooh Bears) No smoking, you’ll upset the bees Even for a silly old bear, that seems fair enough. Here are some ways you and your family might consider getting involved and honouring todays National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.

After the discovery of the children buried at the former residential school in Kamloops, 3 local Tims owners came together with a group of other Indigenous Tims... owners to create the Orange Sprinkle Donut, an initiative that will see 100% of proceeds go towards Phyllis Webstad’s Orange Shirt Day - Every Child Matters and Indian Residential School Survivors Society - British Columbia. We’re proud to stand behind all our Indigenous Tims owners in their efforts to honour and remember residential school survivors and their families. Thank you to the members of the working group Shane, Joe, Mitch, Sharon, Brian, and Landon for guiding this initiative. Show your support by picking up an Orange Sprinkle Donut. Available now until Oct 6.

A Christian brother of mine wrote probably the most poignant devotional I've read in the midst of covid-19 this year that I had to share it. Please take a minute and get some incredibly refreshing perspective from Psalm 131 from Kurtis Sanheim. - Les.

Imagine doing a little shopping or going to pick up your prescription and then running into this little fellow. That's what happened to some customers of a Shoppers Drug Mart in Grand Prairie on Wednesday. He let himself in through their automatic motion sensor doors and spent a whole hour looking around before settling into this little nook. Fish & Wildlife officers escorted him out and no one was hurt. I can only imagine the stories people are telling about the experience :-) Les. (Photo: Shoppers Drug Mart)
