Amico is pleased to be part of the Mobilinx consortium project for the Hurontario LRT. The Hurontario LRT is an 18-kilometre, 19-stop light rail transit system that runs along Hurontario Street from Port Credit in Mississauga to Gateway Terminal in south Brampton. #WeAreAmico

Amico is rolling into the future of concrete application. Using 3D machine control, Amico was able to place the Roller Compacted Concrete (RCC) within 7 mm of the design surface. Through clear and constant communication with the client, Amico completed the work with minimal disruption to the adjacent businesses, which both remained in operation throughout the entire process.... #WeAreAmico

West Corridor Constructors (W.C.C) is a consortium, composed of Amico, Parsons and Aecon that was assembled to design, build and finance the Highway 401 Expansion Project for Infrastructure Ontario and the Ministry of Transportation The Project is fully operational and involves the reconstruction and widening of 18km from the Credit River in Mississauga, Ontario to Regional Road 25 in Milton, Ontario. As our frontline workers continue to battle this pandemic, we will continue to provide them with a fresh, hot meal from Spago Canada to show our appreciation for their continued hard work, dedication and resilience. This week we have partnered with The Storage Box to deliver 64 fresh and individually packaged meals to those self isolating at the Holiday Inn Express Windsor Waterfront. Here is Andre's story below and the main reason why we will continue to do this until this p...andemic is behind us: "Ever since the world was beginning to hear about COVID-19 becoming a pandemic, my wife Nina and I often sat down to have a difficult conversation, and eventually decided we needed to protect our family. Both of us are nurses (in the Emergency Room and the Neurosurgical unit) and we knew our risk of exposure to the disease was high. I left home on March 30th. That was the last time I gave my wife and my babies a kiss, held them tight and told them how much daddy loves them. I truly miss coming home after a long 12-hour shift to play with my boys, kissing everyone goodnight, and most of all, being a family together. I cannot express how thankful I am for the incredible support and generosity of companies like Amico Adaptive Synergies, Spago Canada and The Storage Box. The meals from Spago that are delivered to us are delicious and greatly appreciated. On behalf of the many that are here, away from our families, THANK YOU. Health and safety are always a top priority on our job sites, in our office and in our community. When Windsor Regional Hospital emailed our office asking for help with PPE ( Personal Protection Equipment ) material, we answered the request right away. Amico Adaptive Synergies donated several boxes of protective eye wear, hundreds of disposable medical grade latex gloves and over a dozen new tarps which will be used for temporary isolation accommodations.... We are all in this together and we strongly encourage others to donate much needed supplies to help our frontline workers during these challenging times. Amico Adaptive Synergies recently donated a new Global Positioning System to St. Clair Colleges School of Engineering Technologies for use by Engineering Technology students. You will be able to say, I have experience with the equipment you use at your company, said Tony Youssef, Amicos Technical Services Manager. Amico will also cover the annual subscription fee for the Leica iCON GPS, required to access the GPS satellite network.... Students in three programs Civil Engineering Technology, Construction Engineering Technician and Architectural Technology will now have the opportunity to learn surveying with the latest technology used in the construction industry. The Global Positioning System (GPS) receiver can fix its location by calculating its distance from three or more Earth-orbiting satellites, whose positions in space and time are known. The Highway 401 Expansion is an approximately 18-kilometre reconstruction and widening project in the western part of the GTA, from the Credit River in Mississauga to Regional Road 25 in Milton. The project consists of two 1...0-lane segments, two 12-lane core collector systems and median High Occupancy Vehicle (HOV) lanes.
