Amma Yoga 20.11.2020

I want to shout out Amanda Soikie, founder of Human kind yoga She’s offered a free month’s membership to any Amma student for her full, ever-expanding online library of classes. In case zoom classes at specific times aren’t working for you, and you’d like the freedom to practice on your own schedule, and especially if you love a strong, slow flow vibe, I encourage you to check it out. She initially created hky to provide an accessible and trauma sensitive yoga practice fo...r many of her students who didn't have the means or opportunity to regularly attend yoga classes. Since then, she’s uploaded a practice each week, and the library now offers over 30 different slow but strong flow classes of varying lengths and themes, with diverse poses, movements and breathing practices throughout the collection. After your free month, if you wish to carry on, I think it’s $25/month, and Amanda is planning to donate $5/month for each amma membership to the Food Bank of Waterloo Region, to support folks facing food instability due to the ongoing crisis. To redeem your free month, sign up before the end of June. The coupon is amma.hky and the link is here: https://app.namastream.com/#/human-kind-yoga/product/5019 Amanda has a huge heart and is a very experienced and gifted teacher. I always appreciate the nuance and deep connection I discover in her classes. Thanks Amanda for this loving offer to our community. This is going to be my last post on this page. Scrolling my feed, it feels strange to see all these posts that don’t have anything to do with anti-racism. I know social media has a short attention span, but to everyone who is hurting, I want you to know that I’m still thinking a lot about all of it. I promise to keep working on being better and doing my small part to help this be a tipping point. {Check out https://www.facebook.com/the.arcc.ontario/ to keep deepening your learning and translating it into action.} Sending love to my friends with heavy hearts.
