Looking for some new scenery to get some exercise? Why not venture out to Eagle Mountain in Coquitlam. Went hiking yesterday and it was like a fairy tale scene. Moths/butterflies flying everywhere and gathering on the trees. It was quite a sight! Also came across a huge mushroom and a little guerilla race car track that was epic! Great for off leash dog walking and social distancing; didnt see a soul!

A heartwarming article in the North Shore News about a local group of young kids from Sherwood Park Elementary who "ran" across Canada virtually. We have family members and long time great friends (who also happen to be fantastic clients! ) who attended Sherwood many moons ago, and now their kids are attending Sherwood Park! Another spectacular scenic walk on the North Shore is Harbourview Park. There are two access points, one behind Pet Smart on Main St or the very end of Mountain Hwy near the terminal. It's an off-leash dog park and a nice easy flat 30 mins walk there and back along Lynn Creek (perfect for taking the dog out on lunch breaks!). This is a significant salmon spawning creek for pink and coho and it also makes for great wildlife viewing including seals, eagles and many birds. We saw a family of mergansers fishing and it's also a daily communal "bath" for seagulls, crows and geese (I don't think they got the COVID memo from Dr. Henry ) The view is gorgeous too!
