#BackToSchool can be stressful for everyone, including your pet! Now that the whole family has been home for much longer than normal, it's important that you prepare your pet for the upcoming changes. By following these tips, you can help your pet adjust to your family's new schedule:

As of May 19th 2020 Veterinary Clinic ‘s are able to schedule none emergency appointments which include Annual Health Exams, vaccines, bloodwork, wellness exams and routine surgeries such as spay and neuter , we will also be booking dental treatments. To ensure the ongoing care provided by Animal Clinic of Brooklin we will continue with Covid-19 policy’s even though we will be booking regular appointments we have not returned normal. For the safety of yourself and our staf...f . We thank you for your continued patience . Hours of Operation: We will be open Monday to Friday from 8:30am until 6:00pm. Saturdays from 8:30am until 11:00am. We will be open for regular and emergency appointments, food and medications pickups. For Scheduled Appointments: When you arrive please call the clinic at 905-655-3811 to notify us that you are here. We will continue with a closed-door policy. We will take all information over the phone when you arrive, we ask that you provide us with a contact number for the doctor to call you. We will come out and get your pet and take them directly into their appointment. We ask that you stay in the car. Dr. Strickland will contact you on the number you provide to ask any question and to go over the exam with you. For Food and Medication: Please call prior to coming to pick up so we can ensure it will be ready. When you arrive please call the clinic at 905-655-3811 and we will bring it out to you. We ask for your understanding in needing to take additional safety precautions at this time. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

The bond between humans and animals is strong and the death of a pet can be a devastating experience. Seneca College and VCA Canada have partnered to explore this issue in more depth. We are looking to survey participants, ages 18 and over residing in Ontario, who have lost a pet and have had interactions with veterinary professionals and/or pet crematories. Your feedback will help shape the development of Pet Loss Best Practice Guidelines for the animal care community. The process involves completing a 30 minute online, anonymous survey.
