One fo the benefits of your organization becoming a member is access to grants to help assist in your life saving efforts. Warren Peace Bunny Sanctuary works incredibly hard to care for all creatures, big and small and we are honoured to be a small part of that work.

One of the benefits of AWANBC membership is access to our Guardian Angel Grants to support the important work our members do. A Voice4Paws Canine Rescue has transferred Jubilee into their care from Manitoba. This sweet pup had a broken leg that has healed terribly. He will need surgery to fix his leg, and thanks to our wonderful donors we are able to contribute $1,000 towards the surgery. This significantly relieves the financial burden and allows A Voice4Paws to help more dogs. To learn more about members visit www.awanbc.com. This is Rex. He is a big hunk of love. This 11 month old pup is in our foster program for 3-4 months as his dad goes to a treatment centre. We are looking for ...a foster for him. He is good with cats, kids and other dogs. He is young and playful and listens well. He has a deformed front paw that we are going to see if there is anything that can be done. His mobility is good, but he can’t for long walks. If you are interested in fostering this hunk contact Cassie at [email protected] #fosteringsaveslives #nopetleftbehind See more

The Rescue Standards of Practice have been in development for over a year, and we are excited to finally share them. They draw on an extensive review of literature on animal welfare and are informed by existing standards and best practices in other jurisdictions. The guidelines were drafted in consultation with animal welfare professionals across BC to ensure they were peer-reviewed, comprehensive, and embodied the best practices and goals of animal welfare experts. The Re...scue Standards of Practice will also inform the development of an accreditation program currently underway that will further help organizations improve their quality of care and provide consumers with a valuable guide to help them select organizations to adopt pets from.
