Yes Tax Season has been extended! Normally on April 30th we would be closing down the office close to midnight (not 5:00pm) and doing a happy dance on our way out! LOL However, this year has been a tad bit different for everyone. ... June Hours will be the following : Tuesday 9:30-5:00 Thursdays 9:30-5:00 Fridays 9:30-5:00 Our doors are still currently locked. We are accepting drops offs in our secure mail box beside our front door. (Everything comes right in the office). We will also still do taxes via e-mail and/or telephone. I apologize if this isn’t convenient for anyone please reach out to me via e-mail [email protected] and I will try and make something more suitable work. Thank you, Anita & Staff

I want to take a moment and THANK everyone for their continuous support. We can not express how grateful we are. I have been doing this now for almost 40 years and I can say with certainty that this has definitely been a very different tax season then anything I have experienced before. We have all been working away in a very quiet office and we can all agree that we have never realized how much we would miss getting to see and catch up with everyone. I sure hope that by ne...xt year things are back to normal and that I get to see everyone on a more personal level again. We have been absolutely bored missing everyone’s smiles, banter and just being able to socialize. Thank you Anita & Staff

We have been getting a lot of questions regarding the tax deadline so I thought I would share this information. - Yes the tax deadline has been extended from April 30th until June 1st. - However (see post below) the cra website states that to guarantee your GST and Child Tax credits are not delayed to still make sure to file your return by April 30th. ... Directly from the CRA- In order to provide greater flexibility to Canadians who may be experiencing hardships during the COVID-19 outbreak, the Canada Revenue Agency will defer the filing due date for the 2019 tax returns of individuals, including certain trusts. For individuals (other than trusts), the return filing due date will be deferred until June 1, 2020. However, the Agency encourages individuals who expect to receive benefits under the GSTC or the Canada Child Benefit not to delay the filing of their return to ensure their entitlements for the 2020-21 benefit year are properly determined.

I am kindly asking everyone for patience and understanding during this scary time. As an employer I have the responsibility to look out for the best interest and safety of my employees. At this time, I have decided to keep them working but safely so we are going to be taking drop offs only. Once we get more updates on the virus, I will then decide the best call of action for everyone. We have a drop off box (mail slip that goes directly into our office) right beside the fron...t door. I ask that you put all your slips in an envelope and write your phone number on the front of the envelope. I am willing to also do taxes via e-mail or through personal telephone conversations. Please bear with us during this difficult yet scary time and everyone please stay safe. Best Regards, Anita Hyatt
