We are open for two more weeks and are taking bulk orders for potatoes, onions, squash, apples. I'll make a dedicated post with the details tomorrow.... We have the most beautiful spray free beans this morning and have added Brussels Sprouts (better late than never!) Our apple variety is peaking and we have 11 varieties at the moment. Many, many varieties of eating apples to offer this week including Royal Gala, Jonagold, Fortune, Masonova, etc. Fortune and Masonova are relatively new varieties-- this is our very first time selling Fortune. It is a cross between Empire and Spy apples, and is the perfect definition of 'Sour Sweet'. It would be the ideal apple for candy apples. Strawberries have finished up for the season. Thursday, October 1st Surprisingly we have some strawberries and blueberries to offer today. The warm weather this week brought the berries around-- the strawberries are actually the sweetest they've been. Apple and pear variety is soaring and we have lots to offer. Friday, September 18th We're still without corn this week but our supplier suspects he'll be picking the next planting next week. Gingergold Apples are on the stand, but their availability may be fleeting. Our apple offerings look different each week as we only bring fresh picked apples for market. Once a variety has been picked clean and sent for cold storage we move on to the next freshly harvested variety. ... Many of you have been asking about Honey Crisp! Yes, we do sell them but they aren't quite ripe as yet. We're crossing our fingers that we won't be impacted heavily by hurricane Teddy. This will be the last of the summer strawberries, but we do get a late crop of berries, called Ever Bearing Strawberries, towards the beginning of August.
