Would you stay in a job that isn't paying you? Would you eat food that makes you sick? Then why do so many people stay in relationships that don't serve them? #guilt #relationships #psychology

Perspective is a choice. We buy in to the idea that the way we see things is the way they are, but nothing could be further from the truth. One of the best things you can do for your mental health is to actively "reframe" your negative thoughts into positive ones, like the 10 things in this list. For a complete, in depth guide to transforming your thoughts, check out www.ryananswers.com/cognitive-reframing #psychology #mentalhealth #brainfitness #positivity #awareness

Watch this and you'll understand why people act the way they do. You can do in 4 minutes for free what I did in 4 months for more than a thousand dollars. D'oh...

Instead of saying "I don't have time", be honest and say "It isn't a priority for me" Make your goals a priority or admit they aren't goals. Don't hang in limbo with an eternal to do list hanging over your head - it causes stress, damages self esteem, and hurts your sense of self respect. The more you do something, the more likely you'll do it again. This includes making excuses and not following through.... #psychology #mentalfitness #awareness #mindfulness

Biases are like accents - we all have them, they're really obvious in other people, but our own are invisible. Instead of changing the way you sound, biases change the way you see the world. People from similar areas have similar accents, and people with similar experiences have similar biases. If you look at your friend group, the common factors you'll find are: 1) how much money you make... 2) how much education you have Similar money, similar levels of thought = good chance your brains distort reality in the same way. Mutual distortion of the world is one of the strongest bonding factors in human relationships. Maybe the chimps have it right, it makes more sense to live in the woods and throw poop at each other
