That being said, all signs point to growing interest and demand from Canadians to consume cannabis in a licensed and regulated establishment - be it an outdoor cafe, a restaurant, or an Airbnb-like retreat.

We have this term called the ‘sugar rush of retirement.' That's that sort of six-month period, sort of post-retirement where you're just euphoric. What about the months leading up to it?
It's more than the numbers that show how your investments are performing; it's the ability to meet your #Financial needs comfortably today, a feeling of security about your future, and the freedom to make choices that allow you to enjoy your life now and down the road
If you've recently inherited a lump sum of cash, you may struggle to decide what to do with it. While we often default to paying off all of our debt, there's more to consider. #YQL #Lethbridge #invest #debt #inheritance
This is not what I would have expected. Interesting read on how the rich spend their money.
This crisis has uncovered the very fears and concerns that underpin society at large. The thought that toilet paper and hand sanitizer could become a commodity, likely wasn't on people's mind as they brought in this new decade. I'm concerned for our society for reasons not presented by the media or scientific studies assessing the fallout from the Covid -1 9 virus. We are surrounded by a society that have people and resources that are speaking the reality of this situation, y...et much of it is being ignored. Some people have decided instead to double down on their fears and go into self-preservation. To that I want to encourage, challenge and ask each of you to look around you and acknowledge the positive people, groups, or resources that are providing hope when we need it most. These people are keeping us informed, not scared, keeping our spirits up, and not filled with fear. This is our society. This is who we are. Let's continue to follow their lead and offer the best of us in a time that requires us to step up, not down. Thank you to all those who are front line doing the work we need to make this experience more tolerable and altogether livable. Without you we wouldn't have the very things we need to make it through this. I will do my part and acknowledge a few people(there are honestly too many to list) in my network who have provided meaningful insight and a lift to myself and others awareness through this crisis. You are key to battling the misinformation and more importantly the emotions that many accept or deflect during this time. Please keep leading and speaking compassionate truth during this time. #strongertogether #communitystrength #Thistooshallpass #overcomethecrisis Ryan Rizza Neil Morton PtboCanada Stephen Wright Alyssa Rowe Nic Cunningham Dion Gemmiti Megan Murphy Meredith Kennedy Dylan Trepanier Husayn Dharshi Tiffany Arcari Karen Martens Johnene Judges Milan Evergreen Massage Therapy + Wellness Studio Grocery Store Employees everywhere Medical Staff Everywhere Please link or acknowledge anybody else who is helping to shed light or lift spirits.
Here's some news I think will lighten the load for many who are worried about their loan obligations. I am glad leadership understands that our society has other pressing priorities at this time. The question is, do you think these measures go far enough?
Thank you for nominating me as Peterborough's Reader's Choice Award in the category of Financial Advisor for 2020! I don't take for granted the impact of these awards, and the quality of nominees on this list. Feel free to share your support and vote at the link below. I again appreciate all your support!
The retail sector is changing dramatically and with the recent closure of Forever 21, consumers seem to be moving away from the brick and mortar retailers. This article provides great insight into some other retailers who have or plan to close in the future. Will these closures change any of your shopping or purchasing habits?
Wow! What a great September it has been. I've said it many times this month, but the outpouring of support, well wishes, and genuine reinforcement from the community has been nothing short of AMAZING! Thank you to all of you who have supported me by voting, and continue to do so. We will know the results soon, as voting closes at September 28th, 2019. If you haven't had a chance to vote yet, there is still time, so please share your support! Other than that, enjoy this last weekend of September!
Talk about a game changer... a computer today would take 10,000 years to solve a particular problem. An equivalent next gen computer can solve it in 3 minutes 20 seconds. I think things may be changing as quantum computing starts to march forward. Do you see there being a significant shift as a result of quantum computing? #computing #fintech #disruption #quantum #opportunities
What a great event last week at the Pulling for Dementia Fire Truck Pull. We came milliseconds from capturing first place for our category, but as a team had a great time representing a great cause!
A huge thank you to all those who have supported me and sent along their congratulations for the Reader's Choice award! The outpouring of support has truly been overwhelming. If you haven't had a chance to vote, there's still time left! I appreciate your vote and continued support.
What's the old saying " Remember the past or you'll be doomed to repeat it?" My colleague, found this great article that contrasts Sears in 1920 to Amazon in 2019. You wouldn't think there is much connection, but you'd be surprised. A short but impactful read that helps put perspective to long term thinking over short term wealth opportunities. Are you seeing any other 'big ideas' that have the potential of impacting us in this way?
I hope you all had a great week! When you get a chance, I'd appreciate your support for Reader's Choice Award. Have a great weekend and enjoy the weather!
Thank you to all who voted me into the Reader's Choice finals for 2 categories (Financial Advisor, and Financial Planning Services)! Voting for the finals is open daily until September 28th so feel free to vote! I appreciate your continued support and congratulate all my fellow finalists.
How many people can say boil their toothbrush? Well you can count me as one of them after reading over these ways to avoid germs. Some of these are actually kind of comical, but with back to school around the corner, I will take all the help I can get! Have you done any of these or other out of the norm things in the name of staving off germs?
Do you have more spam in your inbox/folder than they know what to do with? What if that spam contained a password that looked like one you have used in the past? Well that's what a more recent phishing scam is trying to cash in on with unsuspecting victims. The attached article provides some insight into this scam, ways to protect yourself, and things to look at going forward. Do you think these steps are necessary to prevent against phishing attacks?
Money and possibly one other thing comes to mind when I think about subjects that can be challenging to explain to children. I found these 5 age appropriate tips quite helpful, especially tip 3 and 4. Do you think it is ever too early to speak to kids about money? What examples or analogies have you found most impactful?
