Today I am celebrating + closing out the last page in the book of 2020 For so many of us this year has been a lot of things... Many disappointments, discouragements, uncertainties, heartache, chaos, learning to become comfortable in the discomfort, and learning how to overcome challenges we have never faced before. ... We have had to pivot. Regardless of all the bad mixed with the tiny amount of good this year I have learned so much, I’ve grown so much as a person, I have forgiven and let go of burdens that I’ve held on to for a long time. I have healed from past traumas because I had no choice but to sit in it this year. I have realized that I am capable of greatness but I let my own insecurities and fear and those little voices hold me back. I have stepped out of fear and into faith and I’ve relied on God more than ever. I started a business in the midst of a pandemic, I spent quality time with my family in my hometown, I got to reunite with my Vancouver friends and family for a month, I had the most intentional conversations with great friends, moved into a dream apartment that I love and I met the most incredible man. All of this was in the midst of a crazy twisted year. To all the people who prayed for me, who stood by me, who mentored me, who called to check in and to all those who impacted my year I thank you for adding a little piece to the puzzle of me. May we make goals for 2021, accomplish them + then make bigger goals as we realize we are capable of greatness. Let us be fearless in the pursuit of our dreams. May we love, be loved and live life to the fullest for we are never promised tomorrow. Happy New Year!! Cheers to 2021! For Such A Time As This.
